She is Pakistani, so her view of men may be a bit understandably warped.

Is she also a lesbian?

This may gall some people but I noticed decades ago that if an adventure movie is scripted or directed by a woman it will not be up to par as other adventure movies. That also goes for si-fi movies.

Though she was educated in a Christian elementary school, she identifies as being Muslim. So we have a Muslim Pakistani feminist wanting to re-create Star Wars and a Female forward, male diminished franchise.

Does she, or anyone around her, remember that the Star Wars fan base is a solid 70-75% male base? You can go to any Star Wars fan “Cons” and it’s wall to wall dudes except for a few female cos-players.

Driving away an audience is not an effective propaganda technique. They must be done with recruitment.

As far as I am concerned, that Star Wars franchise died years ago.

“I enjoy making men uncomfortable.”

The Star Wars fanbase is significantly majority-male, so she's targeted more than half her potential ticket buyers with an actual promise that they will hate the movie.

Hey Disney. Don't move her over to sales, make her a door-person in the corporate lobby. Or give her a few hundred million to make your next flop. Your call.

“ Obaid-Chinoy went on, “It is important to be able to look into the eyes of a man and say, ‘I am here and recognize that. And recognize that I am working to bring something that makes you uncomfortable, and it should make you uncomfortable because you need to change your attitude.’”

That’s all well and good, in principle, but reality shows that the full implementation of her theory gets her a sock in the mouth by “uncomfortable” males. Women behave this way because men have allowed it. She would do well to remember that. Don’t turn us back into cave men unless you want us to act like cave men. You wouldn’t like the result.

Ah, Star Farts. We can feel the power of the farce. Well, this one of N proofs (where N is a large number) that the left ruins everything they touch. I’m very glad that I was there when it was a great story. And it somehow made billions without any silly insertions of nonsensical sidelines about you know whos, you know whats, and assorted other whatevers.

I am beginning to think the media companies are no longer primarily being run to make a profit. Instead, their primary goal is to reshape culture. There are enough large investment funds and investors that will invest in these media companies to maintain an adequate stock price such that they never go bankrupt. It is like church donations.

I also went to the original Star Wars in June 1977 in Paramus NJ at a 70MM surround sound theater. I've been a huge fan since though the three prequels with their CGI excesses and unwatchable Anakin Skywalker nearly ruined things but I managed to make it to Episode VII. Unlike a lot of people, I was fine with it because though basically a retread, things seemed like they were back on track even with the Daisy Ridley and John Boyega characters being questionable. Then Rogue One came out which was really good so I figured definitely back on track. Yeah, that lasted only until Episode VIII when it was Roberto Duran time for me. I haven't even considered Episode IX. I do very much enjoy The Mandalorian because of Jon Favreau, but that's it.

The idea that now they're intending to really finish off Star Wars by the dual disaster of continuing the bogus Daisy Ridley character and bringing in a director intent on doing her imitation of that fat slob Chris Christie in being there just to spew hatred, no thanks. If you cannot learn from what your fan base has been telling you with their feet while looking across the way at Marvel and seeing the carnage from dropping the Brie Larson neutron fan bomb into the MCU, you deserve what's about to happen.

“We’re in 2024 now, and I think it’s about time that we had a woman come forward to finish driving this franchise right into the ground, leaving nothing but a stinking, smouldering pile of wreckage and fiscal ruin.”
