I remember teens fifty years ago who would wrap themselves in aluminum foil and at night stand near a curve in the road to frighten cars coming around the curve.
I remember others doing different things to frighten people. Lucky no one was shot.

The dark figure is said to be a Night Marcher, which are ghosts of ancient Hawaiian warriors who protected people so sacred that the common man was never allowed to look at them Damn. I just looked at him in the photo.

On the Big Island there is a road, not much traveled, lined with trees, that is considered to be the road Hawaiian warriors marched. Most people I knew did not like to travel that road at night.
