Krynky failure leaves no path to victory

Mercouris says nothing left but the gangsterism...

This is arguably the worst military debacle since the HMFIC of Tangut called Genghis Khan a plastic man.

Yep

For a few months now Ukraine has been sending troops into a death trap

Ukraine didn’t want to pull out for political reasons

Maybe, but it looks like Russian losses there are pretty similar to Russian losses everywhere else. The ratio is about 3-1.

Who can last longer? Rus not Ukes.

further, strategically, at this point —the Russians win by not losing. That is, if the war were frozen in place today—the war would be considered to be a russian win. That would motivate later generations of russian rulers —to take another bite out of Ukraine.

Does this matter. It matter to Ukes. It matters to Euroes who fear rus success will embolden them to more military adventures.

This stuff is all far away to Americans.

You still citing that disbarred fraudster Mercouris as some sort of credible source, like "honorary Chechen" Ritter?

Tell a lie big enough, and often enough. . . . . . .

What is it about the opinions of perverts and ex-cons that makes them so attractive? We regularly get Martin Armstrong's posts, too. I guess I can see why they publish this stuff....they have a revenge motive. But do we have to be under orders to take it seriously?

“””””That is, if the war were frozen in place today—the war would be considered to be a russian win. “””””

That isn’t so clear cut 2 years later, Russia was expected to chop off the Ukraine head within days, and then spend a few weeks cleaning up any renegade units in the countryside, but after 2 years of being mauled, most of their best units wiped out and set back for years qualitatively, most of their vast Soviet stocks depleted, all the massive setbacks in so many areas of their military capabilities including missile/tank/artillery stocks, Air Force, and Navy, world prestige and status, loss of future weapon sales, any Russian use of Ukraine for greater attacks against Europe has been greatly delayed for years, perhaps decades.

In the meanwhile NATO has been reborn, grown, and united, and is again budgeting for and preparing for war, not to mention ending dependency on Russian energy. NATO is much better off with weapon factories humming, a rightward swing in governments, much greater geography, more nuclear energy, and having lost its delusions about Russia.

LOL You guys keep claiming victories that do not exist. For months a handful of Ukrainian troops have been drawing in loads of Russian troops and vehicles that have been destroyed by Ukrainian artillery or drones and ATGMs.

--- "Hey, I appreciate that info, I listen to these Russians all the time on YouTube. They do sound a lot more reasonable to me than the idiots in the western press."

The citation of Mercouris sparked some curiosity, given that in both criminal and civil trials, testimony by even hostile witnesses can be heard, if valid.

In that regard, I did some searching around:

As to Mercouris, he was indeed disbarred, but the subsequent legal actions did not end as implied:

Mercouris was in fact "Disbarred - Costs: £786.00"

Mr Alexander Stamatis Mercouris Past disiplinary findings

Ms. Jamous' law suits came acropper...

"The balance of the application dated 22 March 2019 is dismissed as totally without merit." And later "...Mrs Jamous is on real risk, should she attempt to continue to issue applications such as some of those she has issued in the past [13]. of being made the subject of a Civil Restraint Order."

Jamous V Mercouris England and Wales High Court, 5 July 2019.

The Legalcheek (a website registered in England and Wales) citation from two years earlier does not finish the story. The above does.

As to the Duran, one finds odd remarks:

"...the Duran demonstrates a conservative bias with frequent articles denigrating the left..."

Mercouris

"History Founded in 2016, The Duran is a strongly right-leaning news and opinion website with ties to Russian state media."

The Duran - Bias and Credibility - Media Bias/Fact Check

Isn't it interesting that some sites avow that this Duran is conservative? And isn't it also interesting that "conservative" seems to mean different things to different people.

What seems wise is to take in much "testimony," and then make one's own critical decisions, rather than just rubber-stamp any one?

After all, idiot media once told us about Barack Obama, conservative Washington Post, 22 November 2019.

As to conservative versus "Obama and Biden," I have found some seeming conservatives on these threads cite a Biden-endorsing retired general, which seems such a "Leftist" thing for a "conservative" to do. I have also found some few Freepers who express views far outside the norm of our Judaeo-Christian American heritage, such as "I would rather the world end in nuclear war than yield to Little Pukin."

Sometimes, rhetoric becomes heated. Sometimes discussion is conducted only in assertions without citations and sources.

But the notion that some views "do sound a lot more reasonable to me than the idiots in the western press," that seems an accurate assessment.

As Mr. Robinson said of the Ukraine-Russia war, there is "a difference of opinion whether or not the US government should be involved in a controversial foreign war where we were not attacked."

Rather a number of differences of opinion, one finds. Controversy, to be sure.

There are lies, damnable lies, then there are indiscernible battlefield reports from Ukraine. Putin lies. Zelinsky lies. Biden lies. Truth is always a casualty of war. More so in Ukraine.

The visible remains of Russian armor and Russian dead around Krynky don’t lie, and they are all the more remarkable because with the exception of a few amphibious BMPs, the Ukrainians have not moved any heavy equipment to the other side of the Dnipro.

From the Duran, a pro-Russian, anti-west shill and a disbarred lawyer pretending to discuss while agreeing with Russian narratives. Mercouris leaves off a detail about the reports of Russians raising their flag in Krynky. Those same reports say the Russians were wiped out. From global.expresso.tv:
"The enemy claimed to have captured Krynky, but this settlement no longer exists. They put their “rag” (Russian flag - ed.) there, which lasted an hour on the ruins, killed over 50 people for such a spectacle, and were forced to retreat. Because they would not see either the “rag” or the personnel again."
Meanwhile, back in the real world, according to Forbes:

The Russians Have Lost So Many Vehicles Around Krynky, They’ve Assigned A Tank Regiment To Fetch The Wrecks.

The Duran always has interesting definitions of Russian victory and Ukrainian defeat. When one side has to send in units to recover all their wrecked vehicles, to most people that means they are the side worse off.

Just remember that the Timber Rattler went on a five-year hiatus from Free Republic because he hates The Trump so much he couldn't stand our joy at having Donald Trump as our commander-in-chief.

Timber Rattler probably has a shrine to Alexander Vindman in his bedroom.

BTW, what New Hampshire doink, snek?

Russian noose closing around Avdiivka too.

Russia has only been trying to capture Avdiivka for ten years now. Thousands of Russians have died and at this point nothing is left of Avdiivka except rubble. And the Russians still haven't taken it.

Why do the Russians destroy the cities that they claim they are trying to protect for Russian speaking people?
