DEI Poisons The Air Force Academy
AMAC Newsline ^ | 29 Jan, 2024 | Scott Sturman

I came to the Air Force Academy (AFA) in 1968 from Wyoming, where my hard scrabble ancestors homesteaded in the 1800s. Wyoming’s residents were predominately rural, white, patriotic and claimed the highest per capita participation rate of members of the armed forces during World War II.

The Air Force Academy became my window to the world, where I had the opportunity to meet and interact with fellow cadets from every state in the union. They represented a melting pot of races and ethnicities, all with unique experiences and perspectives, who were united by the desire to serve our country.

In this highly competitive, merit driven system, our class withstood and ultimately surmounted the challenges of this physically, psychologically and academically demanding environment. The key to surviving this cauldron of unrelenting pressure required classmates to band together as one entity, who knew no other identity than being members of the class of 1972.

Now over 50 years since graduation, the Academy’s administration has abandoned the ethos that prizes ability over appearance, unity over division, and service over self. Critical Race Theory and its ideological step child, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, form the institutional mechanisms to prioritize division based on identity politics at the expense of cohesion and trust.

In January 2023 on the Friday before Martin Luther King Day, a Cornell educated economics instructor at AFA, addressed some of her white male students as White Boy #1, #2, and #3, since in her opinion, all whites looked the same. Women and minority cadets were addressed by their formal surnames. The instructor’s overt and inexcusable use of racist terms has never been adequately explained by the academy administration, nor is it known if she received a reprimanded or her contract terminated.

This humiliating experience of White Boy #2 is not an isolated event. While attending a mandatory leadership class, his professor, an Air Force colonel and former AFA Preparatory School Commander, asked him to explain his white privilege. To the young man’s credit, he explained that he, like all of the other cadets in class, was privileged to attend the AFA and have the opportunity to serve his country. The colonel apparently was unpersuaded by his response and awarded White Boy #2 a “C” in her class in which no formal tests are given.

White Boy #2’s experience is the tip of the iceberg. On a daily basis, cadets are subjected to intimidating indignities solely because of the genes transmitted to them by their parents. Marginalization and discrimination based on phenotype and sexual orientation are the first steps in the dehumanizing process that destroys morale and leads to rationalizing immoral behavior.

Since antiquity military campaigns have depended on morale, courage, cohesion, and trust of combatants waging war. General George Marshall noted that morale is the key to victory, and Napoleon stated it is the most important factor that determines an army’s effectiveness. Eisenhower remarked, “Morale is the greatest single factor in successful wars.”

Shakespeare’s St. Crispin’s Day Speech highlights the paramount importance of unity and trust among soldiers that are called upon to give their lives to overcome insurmountable odds. Denying the band of brothers and sisters these sustaining values and substituting them with the decisive and misguided principles of Critical Race Theory and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion ensures the destruction of the armed forces.

Scott Sturman is a distinguished graduate from the Air Force Academy, where he majored in aeronautical engineering and serves as the Class of 1972 class president. He flew helicopters in the Air Force, attended medical school, and practiced medicine for 35 years.

It is absurd to pretend that whites all look alike.

Their light skin makes seeing features and details very easy, throw that in with all the colors of their hair and eyes and they are the easiest race to distinguish from each other, especially to a person born and raised in a white country.

If the American military is humiliated by Muslim terrorists or if it falls against Iran, Russia, or China due to incompetence and cowardice, our rulers cannot blame the eeeeeevil white Christian men

They won't be blaming. They will be celebrating, "Mission accomplished!"

Under the honor code which existed at the Academy back then (note the past tense), the present Superintendent of the Academy (who just coincidentally happens to be black) would be kicked out for lying, since he has consistently denied all the absolute crap being poured over that formerly respected institution. When the writer of the article was there, virtually 100% of the faculty were military (from physics and math profs to philosophy and music - yes those courses were there also). Now, they’ve got (ptui-ptui) civilians from left wing pretend universities who spew the hurl-worthy phrases which match their lack of a real education.

It should be obvious by now that the effectiveness of governments and organizations reflect the extent to which their leaders are selected based on MERIT and NOT diversity.

Now its all about defending your race and putting down the awful “White Man.” Don’t you know Russians are White and evil? Nazi Germany was white and rotten, Israel is made of white people? Look what they are doing to Gaza? Divided we fall! No nation, people, political point of view is invincible—it’s like the Titanic being unsinkable.

The AF Academy has been the hotbed for everything that is detrimental to the military on a whole. They’ve been producing the worst examples of AF officers for years now.

The last three US presidents from the Democratic Party had significant ties with Communist operatives. As a college student, Bill Clinton visited then Communist Czechoslovakia, staying at the home of the head of the Communist Party. His trip to that country and the Soviet Union were funded by an unknown source, as it is unlikely that Clinton, a man from a modest background, could have afforded such a trip.

Barack Obama has the most blatant Communist background. His mother and maternal grandfather were leftist. The grandfather was friends with Frank Marshall Davis, a Communist and pornographer, who mentored the young Obama. When Obama became involved with Chicago politics, he was an associate of Bill Ayers, a former member of the Weathermen, the 1960-70s version of Antifa.

Joe Biden's political ambition was initially funded by Armand Hammer, the mid 20th Century version of George Soros. Like Soros in our day, Hammer made investments in leftist politicians. He saw Biden, an unscrupulous politician, as the perfect instrument to flip Delaware, a small but moderate state, to the Left.

I don't doubt that Davis, Ayers, and Hammer were in contact with Soviet intelligence. Too many people believe that just because Putin is spotted making the Sign of the Cross or denounced sexual perversion, he is a right wing Christian. However, the old Soviet police state and espionage network remains unchanged, even if stripped of Communist trappings. It is more important to note that Moscow's closest allies are openly Marxist nations from giant China to tiny Nicaragua as well as radical Muslim nations such as Iran.

The actions of the Clinton, Obama, and Biden administrations to weaken the American military by underfunding important weaponry and poisoning the ranks with PC or Woke ideology and to undermine the economy with higher taxes and increased regulation, especially over energy production, can be understood if they were deliberately working with Russia and China to undermine American hegemony.

The major institutions (public and private) are all in on anti-white hate.

We need to show them the same respect they show us....

None.

“In January 2023 on the Friday before Martin Luther King Day, a Cornell educated economics instructor at AFA, addressed some of her white male students as White Boy #1, #2, and #3,...”

Back in the day, the class would have walked out en masse.

Obama kick-started the Division, Iniquity, and Exclusion process when he promoted fellow travelers to field grade and flag rank positions, ensuring they would move up the totem pole and eventually be in charge of the whole shooting match. When Trump is reelected, he needs to purge the top tiers of all government positions, civilian and military, and appoint people who are apolitical. Then he needs to reach down into the depths of the justice department, find people who have not been tainted by corruption, and put them in charge of investigations. The rot needs to be cleaned out before a bandage can be applied.

I suspect it goes back even further to Clinton who downsized the military and (IIRC) implemented the *Don’t ask, Don’t tell* policy.

These wokeists sure don’t seem to believe in “Do unto others...”.

I'd say that's the only part of it they believe in.

My hope is that they divide themselves so thoroughly that they begin to consume themselves.

Turning on each other to advance their victimology.
