I’ve read that typically anything the President eats or drinks in public is done under very strict scrutiny from Secret Service to make sure the food isn’t poisoned.
Trump’s habit of going to fast food places is probably in response to that. The food is co-mingled with everyone’s and thus there’s no chance he’ll get the poisoned Big Mac.

If I were the mayor, I’d put a dais out there where he’ll speak. And on that dais, there’d be a glass and a jug of ice water from the town tap. I’d then pour him a glass and give it to him. Drink or else.
