So very touching. True words of wisdom from a special kind of guy. Always knew you were one of a kind, Laz.
Hear! Hear!
Remember, while we may not be able to control the actions of elected officials, we can control how we respond and shape our own experiences.

Summarizing John 15:18-25: If the world hated Jesus, we should not be surprised that His followers are similarly rejected. Jesus' message and mission confront personal sin, a grave offense to those who prefer self-rule. As believers increasingly reflect Jesus, the world around us responds in hostility. Rebellious humanity hates redeemed humanity.
I needed this study today. It's no surprise I have my ups and downs about the state of the world today and how evil is running rampant. I'm ashamed of some of my posts here about it. Today I have renewed confidence and will keep myself in God's word because WE my friend, know the outcome. It is written.
As the Doxology sings:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creature here below,
Praise Him above ye heavenly Hosts,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
This is why I focus on my own community. Teach those I can, mark for arty those I can’t but above all be cheerful and positive. Seems to be working.
Amen.
I am doing this right now - connecting with people from church and ways to serve. I think there are two parts of turning things around in America, being involved on a bigger stage and being connected with people around us.
And prayer.
You must be taking Balance of Nature!
Keeping my powder dry.
Thanks Laz.
Wise words, Laz.
And, again. Thank you so much for calling out the prayer warriors on my behalf. Meant a lot. And for all who prayed.
I didn’t even know my sister has RSV and pneumonia in a room on the floor below me at the same time.
I was cut off for quite a while.
As Rush used to say..”I wake up every day and am glad That I did.
I now wake up every day and count my Blessings...It takes some time!
IMO we are living through one of the most amazing times in history. Second only to the time of Christ.
Despite the trials and challenges, I think we are blessed to be alive at this time. I am confident that everything will turn out just fine. More than fine. And I continue to pray.
“The best time of your life is every day.”
Nice one, Laz. Here’s another wise saw to add to your collection:
Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp’d towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.
