Greece, N.Y. — Police are looking for two women who they say dined and dashed before hitting a restaurant employee with their car.
The two women allegedly left the restaurant Saturday after refusing to pay their bill, before the employee followed them to their car.
Police said the women intentionally struck the employee, causing injury, before fleeing.
Police did not say where the incident took place.
The women are wanted for assault and theft of services.
Just heard that definition recently. Hilarious.
Savages with the manners of pigs.
“we can’t figure out the WHY”
We all know they why.
Here’s my story.
My sister taught math to junior high school and high school kids in inner city Baltimore for over ten years. The kids were always saying “Ima gonna get me new sneakers (or iPhone or hair extensions) come momma’s pay day.” My sister would naively ask about momma’s payday and it was invariably when the EBT card got reloaded. Getting “paid” had nothing at all to do with getting compensated for work.
It’s a generational thing that LBJ started. Easy to start and hard to stop. But it sure needs stopping because that’s the only thing that will stop the freeloading entitlement mentality these women in the restaurant have.
This kind of crap is going to continue until the laws are enforced to their limits. Some jail time might make them think twice. As it is now, they know NY is a state that doesn’t enforce laws pertaining to theft. An when you don’t, this is what you get.
I’m surprised that isn’t happening to be honest.
Actually many years ago in the early days of Legal Seafood restaurants you had to pay for your dinner before you ate. Of course 99% of restaurants did not do that.
I’m sure you remember when Southtown was the premier mall in its day.
It’s always them, Boo Boo.
BOO BOO: was it them ,Yogi???? YOGI: It’s always them,BOOBOO........
We'll need to get rid of tipping culture.
Actually, what's likely to happen is restaurants will make people put up a credit card towards the bill. Bars already do that and have been for a while. If you want to run up a bar tab, they scan your credit card first.
On a related note, I recently returned from a business trip to Japan. I loved the "no tipping" culture (among many other things). You pay the exact number on your bill and not a single yen more. To do so would be considered insulting, as if you're telling the staff that you don't think they're paid enough.
Tipping culture needs to disappear completely. Instead, it's growing.
Played “Guess the Race” when I read the headlines.
Right again!
Easy Peasy!

Why are police not telling us where it occurred? Greece police don’t want the public to help?
Yep, SOS different day.
Maybe 7 or 8 years ago I read on FR that persons of this type are the worst tippers and the most troublesome diners at restaurants according to wait staff.
The next day I decided to observe. A really nice and friendly young woman was waiting on the types nearby. She had to do a couple of extra things for them and I heard the one speak to her in a nasty, arrogant chip on the shoulder tone. The waitress remained sweet and tried to make amends or mollify them. Later, I saw the couple with angry body language talking to the manager to complain about her to get her in trouble. I’m sure she needed this low paid job plus she was innocent. After the couple left I went over to the manager to put in a good word for her. He said the diners had caused trouble a couple of times before so it was going to be okay.
Yes! Marketplace if memory serves was mostly fields adjacent to a smallish airport.
I think Southtown had a Sibley’s or Budget Sibley’s. I can remember driving on the way back from a work site and stopping by a Freddy’s that was in Southtown in the early-mid 90’s.
I think the last time I was in Marketplace was in the Spring of 2018. Macy’s was closed :(, Sears was pretty empty. I guess some 2nd and 3rd tier retailers have moved in and are doing okay. The URMC building (3 stories) will bring in a lot of people to the area. They totally gutted the old Sears as part of their project.
So there’s hope at Marketplace. An area that still seems busy is Monroe Avenue either Weggie’s, Pittsford Plaza, etc. I try to take all the work travel in that area that time allows.
But sad what’s happened at Greece Ridge and that area. Used to be a nice place to shop but has a less than stellar reputation now it seems.
I was born and raised on the West side of Rochester. Graduated from Madison High School in '65. Downtown Rochester was nice back then. I remember South Town Plaza. It was a strip mall when I knew it. One of my sister's lived in Irondequoit for a while. Irondequoit Mall was new at the time, and then that went down the tubes too. She later moved to Gates, and passed away in 2011. I haven't been back to Rochester since my last sibling passed in 2013. The closest I get to it is visiting my brother's family in Ontario, NY.
Lincoln made the wrong decision.
No wonder the Police are confused...
