A Texas Girl Scout troop was robbed while selling cookies in front of a Walmart earlier this month.
Fort Worth police are searching for the suspect who swiped the bag containing the girls' earnings from February 11.
Around 2 p.m., near the entrance of Walmart located at 9500 Clifford St., the suspect wearing a grey hoodie walked past the cookie stand, grabbed the bag containing approximately $450 and ran.
Police are now asking for help finding the thief who they describe as a black man, 18-24 years old, wearing a grey hoodie and black beanie.
'We are talking about a little girl here. A little girl trying to sell Girl Scout cookies,' Fort Worth Police Officer Brad Perez told Fox 4.
Around $450 in cash is what was stolen. There have people reaching out to the detective to see how they can help.'
Pocket-picking and purse-snatching was up 12.9 percent in 2023, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.
Shoplifting was up 14.1 percent, theft from buildings was up 181.8 percent, motor vehicle theft was up 42.4 percent and robbery was up 2.4 percent.
Third grader Brooke Martinez, who is in a different Girl Scout troop, was selling cookies at a bowling alley in Fort Worth the day after the robbery.
After watching the video of the Walmart robbery, her grandmother Kathy Taylor told Fox 4, 'It almost made me cry. Because it's hard work, they work hard for this.

So someone robbed an organization that sells cookies that you can buy at the Dollar Store at $1.25 for $5.50? Maybe the robber is a Robin Hood!
