Have you seen her recently?

I think this is cheap. She could have waited until everyone was dead.

And when it does, all you’ve got is your character - for better or worse.

Do you know anyone as cute as she was? You can’t image how they will look later, even though I think ladies that take care of themselves and DON’T take the rubberized Jack-Nicholson “Joker-Face” surgery come out looking alright a lot of times.

I heard an interview in which she said her cheating was Clapton’s fault for “enticing” her

All woman.

She broke George Harrison's heart pretty bad.

For similarly cute, Haley Mills was in the same ballpark.

The article states that Patti sought out Eric's approval.

"Boyd told the Telegraph she sought Clapton's permission before selling the possessions."

"He asked if I was selling the Layla painting, and I said yes," she said. "He said, 'Maybe there are other things you could sell as well.' So he's absolutely fine with me auctioning everything."

Maybe she needs money badly, and he knows that. But I still think it’s cheap, especially if it was NOT for money.

People used to keep their private lives to themselves - and retain their and their friends’ dignity.

I sure had a thing for Haley Mills in the 60’s when I was a kid. Later, I thought she had this whorish sort of cheap look.

"Pattie now ..."

Cut her some slack - she's gotta' be closing in on 80.

(In unrelated news, Yoko Ono turned 91 last Sunday. Feeling old?)

Sorry, what I meant didn’t come out right. I just can’t believe how cute girls sometime come out looking like later (seems like more than guys).

She may have made a mistake here.

I think the general rule is that while the recipient owns the actual letter, the sender still retains copyright in what he wrote. Depending on how much she intended to publish, she would have had to ask Clapton’s permission.

But ‘All Woman’ would have been to publish a book, but keep the physical letters to make another killing later :-)
