Kuwait?
Bosnia and Herzegovina?
Kosovo?
You are simply making declarative statements, as if that proves anything.
Using phrases like "it is not up to us" only obfuscates the discussion; are you saying that it should not be up to us, or are you implying that we are unable to affect the outcome of the conflict there, or that it shouldn't matter? You are using very ambiguous wording.
And what does "It is their fight, regardless of who comes out on top" even mean? Are you saying that it is of absolutely ZERO geopolitical importance to the U.S. whether Russia breaches the post-WWII peace order, invades a major European country, annexes sizable portions of it, and unilaterally dictates international borders?
And that is only what Putin's Russia has done up till now. Putin might, as a next step (if we rescinded all aid to Ukraine), conceivably absorb Transnistria, menace Moldovia, demand the demilitarization of the Baltic Republics, etc. Would that still not be "our fight?"
Regards,
I keep hearing the same scare words the, “Putin is today’s Hitler”.
No. if he was he would have dropped a nuke on Ukraine long ago.
Stop using that tactic, because it is not going to happen, unless we keep pushing him to go there.
He wants Ukraine back, and Obama and Biden and the rest of Europe have told him for 16 years we will help you get it back. Now because of how they screwed things up they cannot afford for Putin to take Ukraine, because then Putin will have all the evidence needed to prove they were involved many many illegalities that made Obama, Clintons, Biden, and many Western European leaders wealthy in the last 10 years.
The entire history of the UK and American relations has been one of England stabbing us in the back. It’s really hard to imagine a more dedicated enemy. The first 25 years of our country, they tried to destroy us, even inviting us and burning the capital. They were eyeballs deep in the national banks that Andrew Jackson destroyed. In the Civil War they joined in with the south hoping to fracture America into pieces so they could exploit it again. The czar of Russia parked his fleet in northern ports to prevent British attacks. After the Civil War, we were able to keep them at a distance. Then American Anglophiles and British colluded and created the federal reserve, destroying our financial system. In World War I they were a hostile country towards America until they could force us in on their side. They cut the American undersea cables to France, forcing all communications to go by undersea cable by way of England. The British fleet directly threatened to sync any American shipping trading with Germany while we were a neutral country.
In World War II, a large amount of the effort was somewhat wasted in efforts to protect British possessions abroad.
It was a nest of British spies that helped create the CIA, stole the atomic bomb secrets, and the British government that sold the engine for the MiG-15 to Russia. They were very bitter that we did not assist them during the Suez crisis against British rule. But they simply expected it.
It was MI5 and MI6 that helped try to overthrow our government with the Russia gates scam. To this day, they refuse to force Christopher Steele to come to the United States. They keep Stephan Hapler sage from investigators.
British people are wonderful, but their government is arrogant and believe that has a natural supremacy over America.
I’m not saying we should be at war with them or anything, but this special relationship bull crap has done incalculable damage. Like it or not, they were Gárdos no different than Canada or Australia. Just a colony that got out of hand. Special relationship indeed. The backstabs are numerous, and come every couple of decades since the very founding of our nation.
Oh...oh...
I got another one...
Europe is a continent in a constant state of war. Better for us to stay out of it.
Thomas Jefferson.
The Clintons, Obama, Biden and some Western European countries created this problem, and they set up this former comedian to become president as they all made billions.
Now they want Putin out because their schemes will be revealed.
I see the Ukrainian President as being more dangerous than Putin, because he is willing to risk WWIII to stay in power when he should be in prison with his friends who put him in power.

First, the bottom line ...
Consider that political party and media fuss about "obsolete" electoral college is because it is the only thing stopping the corrupt political parties from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.
The problem is that wars, declared and undeclared (undeclared wars unconstitutional imo) are probably very profitable, never mind the cost to the taxpayers.
“ If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
Undeclared US-involved wars; Military engagements authorized by Congress (non-FR)
Patriots don't want hopeful Trump 47 to be a lame duck president from the first day of his second term because his supporters forgot that they needed to also elect a new patriot Congress that will support Trump to finish draining the swamp.
Hungarian PM Orban: The Only Serious Chance For Peace Is A Trump Win (3.3.24)
Majority in new poll say Biden, most members of Congress don’t deserve new term: Gallup (2.2.24)
Voters Doubt Biden’s Leadership and Favor Trump, Times/Siena Poll Finds (3.2.24)
70% of New York voters say Biden not fit to serve another term: poll (2.20.24)
That being said, patriots IMMEDIATELY need to primary ALL incumbent state and federal lawmakers and executives up for reelection this year, except for MTG, Gaetz & Company (and others?), so that they can hire new patriot lawmakers in November who will support Trump from his first day in office.
Again, consider that corrupt political party and media fuss about "obsolete" electoral college is because the electoral college is the only thing stopping the corrupt political parties that have pirated control of state and federal governments from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.
OOOH, good one.
You have an ass backwards. The lesson of Munich is exactly the opposite. NATO is an aggressive expansionist socialist entity that cannot be appeased. When Putin realized that no diplomacy of any kind was going to work after about a decade or two of trying, he decided the only thing that would stop us is taking action. He had a bad choice and a really bad choice so he took the lesser of two evils.
Putin wonderful lesson of Munich, that no piece of paper we offered him would give him any protection.
Imperial Japan and Fascist Italy were allies during WWII - until Italy changed sides late in the game.
Russia and China were allies during WWII, enemies during the Cold War.
The Soviet Union and China were technically allies during WWII for only a couple of days - namely only after the U.S. dropped the A-Bomb on Hiroshima, whereupon Stalin finally declared war on the Empire of Japan (which had already invaded China many years prior).
The Soviet Union and China were fast friends for the first decades of the Cold War. During the 1960s, relations cooled. It would be an exaggeration to say that they were "enemies."

As Reagan famously joke,; I’m from the government & I’m here to help. Well, other countries, hear the same thing but eventually find that our help came with strings attached.

Our State Department says this (go Liberia!).
“Some countries — including Cuba, Finland, Hungary, Liberia, and Nicaragua — paid their World War I debts to the U.S. in full”

Was my title close to another article I am unaware if??/
Not sure I did that on purpose, but your welcome.
and thanks for the links.
Thanks. That remark by Jefferson is new to me. So I looked it up. For those who might be interested, here’s the full quote:
“I have ever deemed it fundamental for the United States never to take active part in the quarrels of Europe. Their political interests are entirely distinct from ours. Their mutual jealousies, their balance of power, their complicated alliances, their forms and principles of government, are all foreign to us. They are nations of eternal war. All their energies are expended in the destruction of the labor, property and lives of their people.”
Thomas Jefferson to James Monroe, 1823.
South Korea comes to mind.

Hitler could have used poison gas on, say, Leningrad - but he didn't.
Poison gas was the "nuclear weapon" of that era. Hitler didn't deploy poison gas because he knew that his enemies would then use gas against his forces.
Putin follows the same calculus.
Putin is today’s Hitler.

Nobody gets along forever.
I think the US has had to buy its friends for a long time now.
