Six months ago, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin announced they'd be resuming abortion services in Wisconsin.
Since then, CEO Tanya Atkinson says the need for the procedure has been more clear than ever.
"When we announced the decision to resume services, the appointments were filled within 24 hours, and our appointments have remained filled since that time," Atkinson said.
The decision came after a Dane County Circuit judge ruled that the 1849 law that caused Planned Parenthood to halt abortion services when Roe v. Wade was overturned nearly two years ago did not apply to abortion.
"Our commitment was to restore access to abortion as soon as we had clarification," Atkinson said. "That was the clarity that we needed to fulfill our commitment. So as soon as that clarity was there, the organization was able to resume abortion services in fairly short turnaround time because all of our staff that was providing care before Roe fell, we were very lucky that almost every single one of those staff members stayed on the team."
In the year following Roe's overturn, many Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin staff members traveled to Illinois to provide abortion care, often times to Wisconsinites who were crossing state lines to get it.
"They would see a patient and the patient would say, 'I came from Wisconsin to Illinois,' and the provider would say 'Me too,'" Atkinson said.
Many of those staff members were the same ones who had to cancel previously scheduled abortions the day Wisconsin reverted to the pre-Civil War law widely interpreted as banning abortion. It was a day Atkinson says she and her staff still remember like it was yesterday.
"When the ruling came down on a Friday, our attorney called our health center staff and told them to stop immediately providing care," Atkinson said. "The team had to go out into those waiting rooms and tell these these women, these people who needed an abortion, that the decision that they had made was no longer theirs to make."
She says Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin had plans in place to keep abortion as accessible as it could be following the decision, but their thoughts immediately went to those who wouldn't have the resources to travel out of state for the procedure.
"We know how devastating it was for patients that day, and we also know that even with the operations, with generous support, with partnerships across the country, there still were people that that were going to be unable to access the abortion care they needed."
Immediately following Roe's overturn, Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul filed a lawsuit challenging the 1849 law. That case is what eventually gave Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin the clarity to resume abortion services in Wisconsin. But Atkinson says that's only half the battle.
"After restoring access to abortion care, we want to protect that access," she said.
Last month, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin filed a petition asking the Wisconsin Supreme Court to find the 1849 law unconstitutional as a whole.
"We're asking the Supreme Court to answer a very specific question: Does the Wisconsin constitution protect the right to bodily integrity, autonomy and self determination, including the decision of whether and when to have a child?" Atkinson said. "We believe the answer to the question is yes."
The Wisconsin Supreme Court has not yet said if it will hear that petition or an appeal to Kaul's Dane County win.
Now that they have illegal aliens to have the children the Wisconsin gringos and crackers don’t want to have, abortions are “BOOMING”.
Planned Parenthood has about as much to do with parenting as Stacey Abrams does with anemia.
Heartstopping story!
Reflecting on killing babies? I bet Hitler had a fleeting moment of reflection like that. I highly doubt they fret too much about it though.. they do take time to come up with lies so they can live with themselves.
"Does the Wisconsin constitution protect the right to bodily integrity"
Just for the Liberal Science Denier and not the genetically Distinct Human being growing inside of her. (My body? Nope, not her body being aborted!)
It’s okay ..cause they are mostly killing black babies.
They have made a covenant with death ššš
and with Hell are they at agreement

Lake of fire awaits. Plenty of accommodations for these death loving ghouls.
From Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene;
In March 2022, pro-life activists tragically discovered the remains of 115 aborted babies being discarded from the Planned Parenthood in Washington, D.C. Five of these babies were second and third-trimester premature infants who appeared to have been born alive and then murdered. This is an image of some of the 110 first-trimester children killed.
This Tuesday, Iām holding a Hearing on Investigating the Black Market of Baby Organ Harvesting.

That is depressing......PP going back to the
USSC, questioning the decision is an atrocity.
Since then, CEO Tanya Atkinson says the bloodlust for killing babies has been more clear than ever.
"When we announced the decision to resume killing babies, the murderous bitches fully booked up our hired killers within 24 hours ...
When I post such things (which get the very rare, but occasional mocking, heh) I hope that it changes some of the people out there - perhaps before they make the decision.
I hope we can turn some of them before .... what you said.
Because you’re not incorrect, if they stay on that course.
And Satan’s fr’kn animals are going to BURN IN HELL!!
And yet 1/2 of this country was in love with Barack Obama
Even had a “church” singing his praises
This is what I’d expect when the Antichrist arises
I’m not saying he’s the guy
I’m just saying that he does an excellent impersonation of him
