Article from last year but posted here in absolute disbelief that this is how the construction industry actually sees the invasion of the U.S. We just hired a roofing/general contractor here in Florida. The work crew that came out to our house was totally Spanish with no English spoken and the work performed was substandard. We were promised a project manager who spoke English however one was available only for the first hour then disappeared. We got a fast job, not a good job.

But their numbers have dropped in recent years, making it tougher for contractors to find workers.

We’ve only added 10 million more ‘workers’, but then the border is under control too!

3D printed houses can be made with minimal labor.

The are about 2/3 the cost of wood framed homes.

They aren't alone as Tyson proves that fact. Diminish though?

Jasmine Cui is either gaslighting or is not paying attention at all.

It’s hard to poke and stare at your cellphone all day if you’re a construction worker. You might hit your cellphone with a hammer or something.

“New home construction is key to unlocking lower housing prices.”

What a psycho. Interest rates and inflation not to mention crime/insurance have nothing to do with buying a home. /s

Why should the new illegal aliens work construction, or anything else, when they’re given everything at taxpayer expense?

I spent the summer of '94 framing houses. With no prior experience, I was paid $10/hr. At the time, it was the most money I'd ever made and the hardest work I'd ever done.

We were building houses in the exploding new suburbs around Denver and there was as much work as we wanted. We'd work from dark to dark, Monday though Saturday.

At the time, all of the construction crews were white men.

Eventually, it was discovered that Mexicans would work for far less and so went white construction workers.

Young, white/black, Americans
we’re forced out of the
construction trades long
ago by cheap illegal
labor and greedy contractors.
Pay Americans a liveable
wage and they’ll fill the
ranks.
I believe it’s still
illegal to hire illegals
and pay them under the table.

They have stopped working construction because crime is more rewarding.
The Bush family would know this if they ever listened to Americans.

Construction slowing down has absolutely NOTHING to do with foreign labor.

And everything to do with interest rates.

“Dwindling immigration puts squeeze on home building”

Hey, just use DEI to hire folks to design and build new homes and let the new owners worry about them collapsing next year.

I did the dumbest construction labor in Dallas in 1981 at $8/hr. That's $27.10/hr in inflation adjusted dollars.

Yet homes were more affordable then than now.

I think if builders started paying $27/hr, they'd have more than enough Americans to do the work.

“New home construction is key to unlocking lower housing prices. “

LIE! getting illegals out would make for a lot of empty houses, likely lowering house prices.
