A fond memory of childhood was when we drove through Gilroy. Almost to my relatives house in Monterrey.

Thank you! BUY AMERICAN!

They may have exotic Place-of-Origin-Names and have come through Ellis Island from different countries hidden in someone's socks, but they are here now and that makes them Our Garlic!

Easy to learn to grow your own, save enough to replant in the Fall and never have to get store bought garlic. Here are sources for seed garlic. (Normally planted in the fall!)

Jung Seeds - Garlic

Territorial Seed - Garlic (52 results!)

Rare Seed - Garlic

Johnny's Seeds - Garlic Ask the internet and you will finds lots of other sources.

Here is a link to the Gardening thread where there may be instructions on growing garlic:

"...hardneck garlics and the scapes,"

Oh, man - dice up some scapes and toss them in scrambles eggs - that's better even than shredded lobster.

Same thing happens in Salinas fields and Watsonville apple orchards. Wash everthing you don’t grow.

Mexican. If you eat Mexican blueberries every day, by day 5 you will start to have nervous problems.

Will look into this.

Any suggested treatments other than abstention?

E.g. chelation therapy, other spices or foods to help breakdown in the liver, etc.?

Can only speak for myself. After quitting my symptoms were gone within a week. A lot of pesticides use some kind of neurotoxin that kills bugs/pests but supposedly harmless to humans. But it depends on the dose I guess.

I am going to guess that eating pesticide laden food over a long period time is a contributing factor to Alzheimer's , Parkinson and other neurodegenerative diseases that we see today. It took me months to make the connection between Mexican grown blueberries and the tingling sensation I used to feel in my hands and feet. Had to go through a process of elimination. Now it's possible I was exposed to bad batches with particularly high concentration of those chemicals (all depends on who is spraying). Regardless I don't eat BB's much and when I do it's only California grown organic. Here's one article.

Garlic is seriously one of the EASIEST things to grow! Plant it in the fall, mulch it heavily with straw to over-winter. Let it grow all summer, (it likes a good amount of water and does NOT like weeds!) harvest in the fall, replant in the fall from what you’ve grown/harvested that season. Repeat.

I’ve stopped buying Avocados from Mexico as I’ve read that the drug cartels have taken over production and/or are strong-arming the MX farmers that grow Avocados.

Anyone know the skinny on that? Thanks!

Thanks! I THOUGHT I read about that, but wasn’t sure. I have little use for limes; I hope they leave lemons alone!

My wife made a Key Lime Pie last week.

She mistook a can of ‘evaporated milk’ for ‘Sweetened Condensed milk’ the recipe called for.

It was horrid.

Went straight to the trash can.............
