Trump Should Talk More About January 6, Not Less
American Thinker ^ | 6 Apr, 2024 | Jack Cashill

The once relevant political consultant Karl Rove made a bid to gain attention Wednesday by scolding former President Donald Trump for his vow to pardon January 6 defendants. “One of the critical mistakes made in this campaign is that Donald Trump has now said, ‘I’m going to pardon those people because they’re hostages,'” Rove said in an interview on MSNBC. “No, they’re not. They’re thugs.”

Having watched countless hours of January 6 footage in researching my forthcoming book, Ashli: The Untold Story of the Women of January 6, I feel safe to say that Rove has no idea what he is talking about. I would also argue that Trump should talk more about January 6, not less. The Capitol protest/riot lasted a little more than three hours. The Biden witch hunt has lasted more than three years and shows no sign of easing up. Trump is the only one with platform enough to expose this ongoing evil.

And evil it is. Of the ten female “thugs” that I profile, the worst crime any one of them committed was to help break a window. That woman, Rachel Powell, a 40-something mother of eight, is now serving a 57-month prison sentence. Prosecutors asked for eight years. In the way of comparison, female attorney Urooj Rahman, who firebombed at least one police car during the George Floyd riots in New York City, received a 15-month prison sentence.

Two of the ten women profiled did not survive January 6. Ashli Babbitt, a 110-pound Air Force veteran, was killed by a Capitol Police officer in what was arguably the least justified police shooting ever captured on video. That officer has since been promoted. Rosanne Boyland suffocated when police pushed a crowd of protestors on top of her. Once the pile cleared, a female Metropolitan D.C.

It should be RICO charges for election theft and setting up these people for hoax charges. How can you trespass when the doors are held open for you?

The 2020 election was indeed stolen and these thugs were responsible in covering it up.....

No,I disagree. Rat Party Headquarters knows that the J6 trial in DC is the key to their campaign. That's why they're so desperate to get it done by September/October.

Of course there will be guilty verdicts on every charge and if those verdicts come before November *every damn TV ad* they run will be "Trump's gonna do 10 years in Federal prison. Do we want him to be President?"

And those ads will sway many "independent" and "undecided" voters.

Yes,January 6th must ben sorted out so that the rights of those charged are restored. But not until after November.

J6 is the achilles heel of the UniParty. Combined with lawfare against DJT it is a mockery of America and Americans

either we all count or nobody counts-in the face of government power

When you think about it, Nancy Pelosi damaged more Government property than 99.99% of the January 6th Capitol riot folks.
She tore up the notes for Trump’s State of the Union message, right in front of the world viewers. It is still on tape, and why is she not prosecuted?

That’s because the law enforcement agencies in this country are morally bankrupt.

And those who encouraged riots and looting over the death of the criminal George Floyd should be in jail.

Still amazes me how the media were able to say the BLM and Antifa riots were mostly peaceful as the live footage was showing burning and looting going on.

Karl Rove is dead to me.
Giving advise to Biden:
“If they were smart, they’d take the January 6 and go hard at it,” Rove told MSNBC’s Ari Melber at the Rancho Mirage Writers Festival in California earlier this year, in an interview that Melber aired parts of this week. “They would say, ‘He wants to pardon these people who attacked our Capitol.’”

Not enough has been said, (CAN be said) about the level, type and the breadth of Federal criminality which Pelosi initiated on Jan. 6.

Every single breach of the law, with which she is directly and wholly associated, can be traced back to the instant she determined to smuggle “O’Bozo” into the US Presidency!

Nothing and no one must ever be able expose that she initiated this crime or the extent of her subsequent participation in the many crimes necessary to make it happen and to cover her tracks.

Win the office, talk about it with the new DOJ then. Do most people generally worry about a past political event, no matter how far-reaching, more than about their struggle with current bills and other negative factors affecting their private lives?

The best part of the article is the final two paragraphs: The overwhelming majority of those arrested did assemble peaceably. Worst case, they expected punishment comparable to the hundreds arrested for disrupting the Senate confirmation hearings of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Reported NPR blithely, “Most of those charged this week with disorderly conduct, crowding or obstructing paid fines of $35 or $50.” The J6ers had no such luck. Instead of the expected wrist slap, they have endured the greatest mass injustice against American citizens since Japanese internment. The “critical mistake” we all make is not to denounce this infamy every day until November.

Direct linkage to disparate treatment for the same "crime". There are a few other examples of damage to Capitol property by dem/prog disruptors and nothing of note was done regarding their crimes either.
