Updated to include guide to restrictions on letters to the William G Truesdale Adult Detention Center.
(LifeSiteNews) — Pro-life rescuers in prison have made – and are making – generous sacrifices on behalf of their unborn brothers and sisters.
One sacrifice is the company of likeminded men and women: Christians and other people of good will who share their conviction that innocent human life is sacred. By giving up their emotional support networks of family, friends, and colleagues, our pro-life heroes are in danger of a loneliness that can be felt even – or especially – in a crowded prison cafeteria or yard. And many of them are due to be sentenced to longer prison terms this May – up to 11 years.
For this reason, LifeSiteNews is encouraging readers once again to write to imprisoned American pro-lifers. We have obtained the latest information on where several prisoners of conscience are currently serving sentences for their attempts to save the unborn. Although it is almost certain your letters will be read by prison staff before they reach our brothers and sisters, it may be that your sentiments will touch and console their hearts, too.
Letters addressed to Joan Andrews Bell; Jonathan Darnel; Herb Geraghty; Will Goodman; Lauren Handy; John Hinshaw; and Jean Marshall can be sent to the following prison until their sentencing dates beginning May 14:
William G Truesdale Adult Detention Center
2001 Mill Road
Alexandria VA 22314
The William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center does not set a limit on the number of pages in a letter. However, the paper must not be larger than 8 inches wide or 10 inches tall. Any photos must be on plain white paper or photo paper. Polaroids are not permitted. The use of abbreviations in a letter is not permitted. No message or picture must be on the outside of the envelope.
Letters addressed to Heather Idoni can be sent to the following address until her sentencing on May 14:
Heather Idoni
#55267
c/o Securus Digital Mail Center – Northern Neck
P.O. Box 1279
Lebanon, MO 65536
Letters and cards for Father Fidelis should be addressed like this:
Christopher Moscinski
#388432
DC Jail
1901 D Street, SE
Washington DC 20003
Letters for Jay Smith, who is serving a 10-month sentence, should be addressed as following:
Jay Smith
#93612-509
Metropolitan Detention Center
P.O. Box 329002
Brooklyn NY 11232
LifeSiteNews asks that names and addresses of other pro-lifer witnesses in prison for rescuing our unborn brothers and sisters be sent to Senior Editor Dorothy McLean: dmclean@lifesitenews.com.
UPDATE: Readers have told us that sometimes their letters are rejected by prison officials. Please follow prison rules for correspondence; they change from facility to facility. If in doubt, keep your letters relatively brief (3 pieces of paper), using standard writing paper and envelopes. Do not send construction paper. Please assume that prison staff will open and read the letters.
Thanks for posting.
Imagine being thrown in jail for handing out roses and helpful alternatives to save lives:
....On Tuesday afternoon, Father Christopher “Fidelis” Moscinski was found guilty of two misdemeanor charges, but not guilty of a felony trespass and a misdemeanor resist, after he had entered a Planned Parenthood on August 27, 2021, with red roses and pro-life literature ready to hand out to women to help persuade them to choose life for their children.
The priest was prepared to engage in a “Red Rose Rescue,” a strategy inspired by Canadian pro-life hero Mary Wagner, who for years has entered abortion facilities with roses in hand, which she gives to the mothers in the waiting room, along with offers of help and alternatives to abortion.
Before he had a chance to distribute the roses and literature, police carried out Fr. Fidelis after clinic staff accused him of trespassing...”
You are welcome
Please please please share this!!!
Thank you for the information
I wonder how they’re being treated in the DC jail.
In other words, how to get in a list to be persecuted. I’ll support by prayer.
Unfortunately they are making a list of dissedents. It is heartbreaking that it has come to this. Guilt by association is now a real thing and we can be sure government will abuse their power. They now “rule” through the use of fear. Also unfortunate that there really is good reason to fear them.
I’d do it but we’re already being intermittently tailed around by the black SUV’s again. It started up under Obama when we squawked about a patent sale being held up and got Trey Gowdy involved. During Trump’s 4 years they disappeared but just recently its started up again. We have to turn off our phones and wrap them in tin foil when we go out in the car for any extended period.
I can only imagine how it will ramp up if we start sending letters to the J6 prisoners.
My best friend just got back from a 3 day seminar with Jon Herald, aka Patel Patriot of Devolution fame and 200 attendees. She told me there were a bunch of people at the seminar that were also Reporting being followed.
Met Joan Andrews Bell in Cincinnati in 1993. What a spirit of prayer. The most peaceful, joyful person I have ever met. A saint.
