It's interesting he puts it in those terms. He's saying it HAD to be done because everywhere online was being censored and he felt someone had to "break ranks" and unless they did so it would be a huge danger.

Do you agree with him ??

He is absolutely correct. We were well on our way to fascistic totalitarianism, with our tech overlords in cahoots with the governments of the world.

We are not out of that trap yet, but it isn't locked.

Have to admire Musk's bravery. You see how Trump is universally hated 24/7 on the Lamestream media. He had to know that he would be treated the same once he opened up Twitter to free speech.

That same media loved Musk a mere 10 years ago. I remember some tv special on PBS around 2016 about colonizing Mars and he was in almost every single episode with short clips being shown of him commenting about how to get there along with other famous 'brainiacs.' He could do no wrong back then.

A very specific example of what he did: around the beginning when Elon took over Twitter he had a back and forth with a new England dem senator . Elon asked the senator why he was wearing a mask in his profile pic as it was when things had died down a bit. That was the first anti-mask post I’d ever seen as far as I remember. That’s when I knew jack dorsey was gone.

Yes, I agree with him. Twitter was a critical link for the left in censoring information in order to put Biden in the White Houae. Their rigging of the election was a multi prong approach including corrupt local election officials, mail in voting, ballot box stuffing, biased MSM, censorship of the internet, etc. They pretty much controlled every avenue of information available to Americans, that had to be broken if we’re ever going to have a free election again. I’m just glad there was someone like Musk with enough money and balls to take it on.

The moment he did this, it was obvious why and he became a hero to me. He risked significant wealth and his very life just for the chance (no guarantee, you knew they would do their best to destabilize / de-platform X) to create an uncensored platform.

If Space X wasn’t lifting the bulk of the Pentagon’s toys into orbit Musk would have been crushed like a bug. You can imagine how many high level FIB and CIA meetings have taken place where he was the prime subject.

Glad he bought it, but he paid two or three times more than it was worth.

From memory...

Twitter was 16 years old, but had just two profitable years.

Elon paid a total of $44 billion, including TWTR stock that he already owned, plus TWTR debts that he inherited.

He could have started a direct competitor for $1 billion, and probably have been profitable by Year Three.

The amount he paid for Twitter was completely insane.

Yes, what Musk did was what was needed. People have to be able to communicate freely with each other.

Who gave any government the right to tell the people what they could say, thus what they could hear?

He could have paid 1/4 as much. And still gotten ripped off.

Horse puckey. Elon Musk purchased Twitter to tank Truth Social. He has only slightly restored free speech. There are a lot of people who came back only to get banned again for being politically incorrect. Elon is a Chicom agent.

If we’ve reached a stage where so many people have turned off their personal bullsh1rt meter and are tasking their marching orders from strangers who speak to them from a box, civilization is already lost, regardless who owns twitwitter.

I don’t believe that for a femtosecond, ESPECIALLY when it’s spoon fed to me.

Case in point: SpaceX.
