They must have. Too bad I am too hungover to help. Otherwise, I'd have gladly gone to the kitchen and got her some heavy duty foil.

From the early days of Mike Reagan's old forum until now you still like to call a spade a spade. Poor wiretap.

Deb: Morpheus, the line was traced, I don't know how.

Morpheus: I know, they cut the hard line. There's no time, you're going to have to get to another exit.

Deb: Are there any agents?

Morpheus: Yes.

Deb: dammit.

Morpheus: You have to focus, Deb. There's a phone at Wells and Lake. You can make it.

Deb: All right.

Morpheus: Go.

Folks with paranoid delusions, even when they already have been diagnosed, can't tell their delusions are delusions.

Good point Dorben. There has been excellent info and #53 was pretty good. I shall get past the personal part with ease. lol It was initially rather insulting but given that it is my first post and could be construed as paranoia, it's quite understandable. Unfortunately, i'm pretty sane, non-paranoid and yes, at some point in the near future I may have some valuable insights to offer.

The way to get rid of the tap is to make local calls to a complying friend several times a day and play music like Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and Kenny Loggins "Footloose" movie soundtrack for hours at a time. Anybody listening in on your phone conversations will go insane and stop listening within a few days. 41 posted

Actually, the "tap" is in a filling in one of your teeth. Haha. Just kidding.

I have two phones ... one wall-mounted with cord. And desktop cordless. The wall-mounted phone rings fully on the first ring. The cordless usually only rings partially on the first ring ... if at all. No tapping here. It's just a function of the phone .... I think. ;-)

Call a friend long distance and tell them the drugs/guns are still safe burried in the garden plot. Then wait and see if the feds come till your garden for you this spring.
I have found this to be a great labor saving device.

Just do NOT say anything on any phone you wouldn't want to show up in the local newspaper.

Hang tough Deb, the fringe party will send you and encripted email soon to your alternative mailbox. Please write it down quickly as soon as you open it (then delete the email message and clear the hard drive twice) on biodegradable toilet paper (use disappearing ink with a half life of 2 or less minutes). Once you have the codex figured out, flush the message (unless you live in an apartment complex, waste is trapped and often analysed). There you will be directed to your life of true freedom.

Bummer. You'll have to call the phone company and demand that they remove the government-mandated tap on your phone line. Just tell them that this is FreedomDeb calling, and what you want has precedence over what the local Federal judge wants. They'll understand.

I see that the pro-fascist sentiments on FR continue.

It's hard to believe that allegedly pro-freedom people on FR really think about freedom (they don't) when the State is conducting (an undeclared) war.

If you ever wanted to know where liberals get the idea that "conservatives" are closet fascists, you need only look how so-called "freedom lovers" here honor and respect freedom.

Hey, "our guy" is in the White House and the Military Machine is geared up ... so f**k your rights and your freedom. If a Federal Judge wants to intrude on your privacy, that's the way it has to be. Live with it. It's a brave new world.

Years ago the RBOC(local phone co) I worked for used to have what was called a LIT progam,(Line In Trouble). It would go through hundreds of lines at a time running a multitude of tests in a short period of time, about 60 seconds, in an attempt to read a fault before the end user called in a trouble report, thus keeping called in reports to a minimum.
It worked quite well.
One of the tests would send out a quick burst of voltage that would cause some sets with "Tone Ringers" to "chirp".
If this occured the company had the ability to remove the affected number from the scan and eliminate these "chirps"
You may want to call your local telco repair ask to speak to a supervisor as the clerk will not have a clue what you are refering to, and see if they are using this technology and if so asked to be removed from the scan.
Also these tone ringers are also suseptible to foreign voltages that may be bleeding over to your "Pair", a term refered to as "cross battery".If "cross battery" on your line is a problem your "tone ringer" may "Chirp" when some one elses phone rings within your serving cable.
If you have cross talk on your line (hear people in back ground but cant talk to them) this is a good indication of "Cross Battery Faults"
PS:The LIT program ussually ran at night.

Sorry about all the jerks giving you a hard time on this thread. If a person hasn't been through this themselves they would have a hard time understanding and being sympathetic.

I was stalked for many years by a police officer. He would come into my apartment when I was at work, he broke into my car, and yes, my phone was tapped. He knew my every single move. I did a lot of investigating on this subject and learned that a phone can be tapped anywhere from the box outside where it originates all the way into your home. In fact, these people never have to step foot inside your home. I did call the phone company and the tech guys who came out were pretty sympathetic. They said that a tap can be easily done now where it would be impossible to discover. Have you called the phone company first to have them check your line? Towards the end I did and yes, there was always a problem. By the time the techs got there it had mysteriously disappeared. That's the problem you'll encounter trying to resolve anything on that line. Do your important business away from your home entirely. The rest, well, you'll just have to decide what and how much you want to say when placing phone calls from your home.

I wish I could tell you that this can be resolved but I can't. I moved three times within that city and finally left town. I did not change my address on certain things that could be used to track me down. I think the fact is now, the guy isn't sure where I am and hopefully has given up. If you decide to move, see if you can put your phone account into someone else's name. I hate to say this, but you are the victim yet you are the one that has to suffer even more because of this. The people doing this will most likely never be caught. Good luck to you.
