WHY NOT USE THE A-BOMB?

Truman dropped the atom bomb to SAVE American lives that surely would have been lost if the US did invade Japan. Why not do the same NOW in IRAQ?

We don't need to. We can take Iraq without doing so and in the process avoid contaminating the airstream with fallout which will in a matter of days hit our own coast line. Take Saddam out? Yes by all means and this time disconnect the phone to the Saudi's when doing it so the ones in charge of the operation will not have to worry about influence once again stopping the job before it can be done.

This time the intended target should be to take out Saddam himself and if he is not surrendered quickly take out all military sites as well. That goal should be non negoitable and the stated objective of victory. We should then however as we have done in Germany, Japan, Italy,ect establish our own land and sea defenses there. Yes occupy the nation until stable government can be established. Even then we must keep the bases military we established there.
