Possible software glitch

I often use "My Comments" to keep track of posts to me when I don't have time to follow the thread itself.
Lately I've noticed that "My Comments" doesn't list all posts addressed to me - causing me to make mistakes.
Anyone else have that problem?

How do you know that there are more comments addressed to you if you can't see them?

I can't see them in My Comments. I see them when I go to the thread.

I became aware of the problem when I'd go to review the thread or when someone referenced a comment I didn't know about.

I'm not sure there really is a software problem. If noone else experienced it then I'll check to see whether I've been careless or whether it's something unique to my computer.

I also notice that the text doesn't wrap anymore on My Comments. It just goes right off the screen.

Well, the word-wrapping I have seen... Somebody recently pinged you to a post with a really wide graphic on it. That wide graphic is forcing the table to be as wide as the graphic. When that post drops out of the current page, all will be well again.

larry, are you sure you are refreshing the page for your new comments? - or are you seeing the old version of the page? It does not refresh by itself....

I don't think refreshing is the problem - unless the page doesn't refresh automatically everytime I return to the Free Republic site (as opposed to going back to "My Comments").

I may have been lazy and not bothered to check far enough down the list. I hope I haven't been that stupid but you never know. I guess I'm going to have to look into it since noone else has reported this problem.

Thanks for the interest.

While we are here - why does a reply that I make to someone else trigger "New Posts to You"?

This always causes me to have to break off and check.

Me too. It seems that it would be an improvement if comments from the poster didn't trigger the "New Posts" alert.
