Technical Help Needed! (Vanity & Thanks)
Lafroste

I have managed to find myself in what could be described as a "situation". How typical. Anyway, can anyone tell me exactly how to view the email header (and I mean all of it!) using MS Outlook 2000? Failing that, is there another method I can use to view the complete header? This is important. Thanks for your help.

Startup Outlook 2000 and double click the message to get it in its own window.

Go to the "View" menu and select "Options."

Right click in the "Internet Headers" box and choose "Select All."

Right click again in the "Internet Headers" box and choose "Copy."

Create a new message and paste the copied text into the body of the message.

Fill in the address in the "To:" field as well as the subject, then send the message.

This won't be directly responsive, but I'll do it anyway...

You might give some thought to converting to Agent. There are many problems with Outlook that go beyond the difficulties you are experiencing. You may not have encountered those problems yet, but they're there.

Agent isn't perfect, but it is well-supported and much better for reading newsgroups and doing email. A registered version costs $30, and there is a free 30 day evaluation period.

With Agent, looking at the headers can be done in several ways. The easiest, I think, is to simply hit CTRL-H. That toggles the display of the message headers. Quick and easy.

There is something of a learning curve. In addition to support from the company -- which is very good -- there is also a Usenet newsgroup that is very helpful.

Links are as follows:

- For the program: www.forteinc.com

- For the newsgroup: alt.usenet.offline-reader.forte-agent

Good luck!
