In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
incult \In*cult"\, adjective:
1. Not cultured; coarse.
2. Untilled; uncultivated; crude; rude; uncivilized.
Her forests huge,
Incult, robust, and tall, by Natures hand
Planted of old; her azure lakes between,
Poured out extensive, and of watry wealth
Full; winding deep and green, her fertile vales,
With many a cool translucent, brimming flood
Washed lovely, from the Tweed, pure parent stream,
Whose pastoral banks first heard my Doric reed,
With sylvan Jed, thy tributary brook,
To where the north-inflated tempest foams. James Thomson, 1700-1748
Title of this poem is unknown, but can be found here.
Byways of the Scottish Border; "Jethart's Here!".
Etymology: Latin incultus, from in- + cultus, past participle of colere to cultivate. Date: 1599.

I knew I was coming down with something on Monday afternoon. I had a meeting to attend Monday for the election. Couldn't keep enough fluid in me. It was 114 degrees at 3:30 in the afternoon. Hit McDonald's and got lemonade. Sheesh.
Cyber says you measure temperature in the shade. I wasn't in the darned shade . . .
Cyber came home from work yesterday early to get rid of the Lasso Men. They hide under my bed until I get sick. Then the come out and try to lasso my ankles. Cyber locked them all up. Dang, he's good.

Two of the D-Backs pitchers had this flu last week. I think it's going around. I'm sure I get it from the grocery store carts. Think I'll start bringing Clorox cloths with me . . .

well he was pooping in the hOUSE again with the diarrhea, i guess he didn't know what to do with himself, he hasn't had it before. even when he was outside, he came INTO THE GARAGE to poop! he is back to normal now, and no more accidents. xshub cleaned xspup's poop for the very first time in almost a year, one day last week, i was DUMFOUNDED!

I think xshub really likes the xspup, and felt very sorry the poor little thing was ill.
Which reminds me. My MIL's dog was sick on Thursday when I was over there. Wonder if I got this lovely bug from her little one. Then my dogs got it from me. Hmmmmmm.

E. coli can cause symptoms in as little as 24 hours or as long as 5 days in humans. Dunno about dogs.
