If you try to wade through the Badjoe threads, you're a brave soul. I read the abridged version at another site (home of displaced and disgruntled ex-freepers, mostly), just for the amusement of it.

Do you really think Liza is hipless, considering she was described on her London pub crawl as a plump raven? Then again, ravens don't have hips (do they?).

Wow, I guess I don't understand spending that kind of energy nursing one's wounds. Life's too short.

Thanks for remembering my babies. It's still a very tender spot for me....I miss them SO much that if I think about them for too long, I start crying again.

We had a large lake near our home in WA. Many wild and domestic ducks lived there already. Our white babes fit right in with the 6 or 7 others like them there. As it turned out, my two babies turned out to be husband and wife. It is a beautiful setting and I'm sure they are quite happy there. But I sure miss them.

Of course, we brought our dog and cat, but poultry is just not something that travels well or something the powers that be like to see transported across state lines without permits!

Here is something the media hasn't reported.

Streisand: Only Retired for Republicans

August 20, 2002----- Barbra Streisand, who gave her last live performance at New York's Madison Square Garden two years ago, has agreed to perform at a $500-a-plate Democratic fund-raiser next month, Time magazine reports. The two-time Oscar-winning actress and singer (and staunch Democrat) has often confessed that she suffers from severe stage fright and hates singing live. Still, Democrats hope the Sept. 29 fund raiser, held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, will raise as much as $4 million for their party, reports Time. The gala is being organized by House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt, who's leading the Democrats in a push for control of Congress this November. Streisand, 60, is no stranger to stumping for the Democrats. As a friend of the Clinton administration, she supported Al Gore's 2000 bid for the presidency with an appearance at the Shrine Auditorium that raised $5 million. According to USA Today, Barry Manilow also is expected to join Babs for this latest fund-raiser.

Barely Man-enough (Barry Manilow ) is singing with Babs? LOL,LOL,LOL, Oh I can hardly wait, NOT!

Why is clintoon going on and on? Was there a split is family loyalty? Clintton is bitting his lip every other word. Now he's shaking his finger at us. I thought clintoon was going to cry there for a minute.

All the news channels cut clintoon off before he was finished speaking. lol!!

Yes, I remember that Pfizer was about to have a wondrous new migraine drug approved in the U.S., but had to do some more tests to satisfy the FDA (it's already approved in Europe). I inquired of my sister-in-law, who works for Pfizer, whether my sister could get in on the clinical tests, but I don't believe they were doing any in her vicinity. The drug is called Relpax.

Isn't that amazing that x42 showed his blotchy face at Cuomo's announcement? Rush noted that Hillary had fallen all over herself doing everything short of an express endorsement of McCall - a major slap in the face of Andy, a former member of Clinton's cabinet. Here's some news coverage:

Cuomo made his announcement in a Manhattan hotel, joined by a pair of top Democrats: former President Clinton ) and Rep. Charles Rangel, one of McCall's biggest boosters. Cuomo stood with his arm around Rangel as Clinton paid tribute to his former cabinet member. "Today is a day when you should be very proud of Andrew," Clinton said to Cuomo's assembled family. ....

While officially neutral, there have been signs in recent weeks that Clinton and his wife, New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, have been leaning toward the comptroller. On Friday, the Clintons were at the State Fair in Syracuse at the same time as Cuomo. The trio didn't even manage a photograph together. On Monday, Sen. Clinton had McCall marching by her side in the West Indian American Day parade in New York City.

Associated Press.

Rush said it's because the Clinton's want to send New York a message. That they are control of the DNC in New York. YUK!!!!!!

Come on, you KNOW the dark side is much fun, would you rather be drinking and cussing with us, or in a sewing circle with the dessicated debutantes of the Guild?

Poor Central Scrutinizer.... If he could have spelled Desiccated correctly, perhaps he could have gotten his point across.

Meanwhile he just comes across as your average moron.

Debutantes, indeed. So typical of the AFers who squat at LP to resort to mindless namecalling.

Incidentally, I never was a debutante, but I have a friend who was "presented" at two balls, so I always figured she made up for my lack of societal hobnobbery.

I didn't get away so lucky. I was a deb. I came out at the ' Crystal Ball' in 1979 in San Francisco.

I can curtsey with the best of them.

There are debs, and then there are blue hairs, the other epithet directed at the Guild by those-who-have-no-lives (and thus spend all their time belittling FR). I know you're not a blue hair!
