The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I should say I'll work on "applying" the labels after lunch...Bear made them and all I have to do is apply them!
I need to eat.

I am just shaking all over. That article really upset me and I haven't eaten all day and I stayed up till after 3am this morning. I'm feeling a little stretched thin.
No way I can put the labels on right now...I was hard pressed with this first one. Maybe after I eat.

Eat something first, 2J. Take a cat nap with the jedis today if you can.
Trust in the Lord. Those who have left us have gone to be with Him, and I am certain they aren't the least bit upset about it!
Pray for the families and friends who are left behind with a hole in their hearts. And remember that for Christians, there is no such thing as "goodbye" - only "See you later!"

Can you tell it's a picture of the Hobbit Hole, like the one at the beginning of this thread? Well, over the picture it says Compliments of the friendly folk of The Hobbit Hole and then under the picture it says Visit us at www.FreeRepublic.com

Well, I just polished off 3 large slices of pepperoni and onion pizza left over from the ones Steve made last night.

I didn't take Frodo with me.... But I have thought of having him travel with me sometime... I would like to photograph him standing in unexpected places. I think it would be a fun album! You could start a whole new craze called "Flat Frodo." It'd be Middle-Earth's version of Flat Stanley:
The Flat Stanley Project is very simple. Students make a paper Flat Stanley and mail it, along with a blank journal, to someone on the List of Participants or to a celebrity or politician. The recipient treats the visiting Stanley as a guest and takes it places. After a few weeks Stanley is mailed back with a completed journal and perhaps some photographs, post cards, and souvenirs. You share with your class what Stanley has done, where he has been and plot his travels on a map. Some classes send out hundreds of Stanleys.
Having your class on the list means being prepared to have others send Stanleys to you, too.

I see the arches. Cool. Thanks for writing it out for me. Someone posted a letter from a soldier yesterday, and I couldn't read it either. No one transcribed it.

P.S. When you send the books to the chaplain, tell him that you are the one who slit the plastic and why. In these horrible days, we don't want him to think someone has done something untoward.

You could start a whole new craze called "Flat Frodo." That would be hysterical! You could mail him to someone in the Hobbit Hole, that person will post pictures and mail him to the next one.
And we need a "Creative Memories" type to put together a scrap book for Entmoot.
It would be better than Tourist Guy!

I would love to take Flat Frodo on tour! LOL!!
