I was just wondering if there were any Alias fans out there who saw last night's episode and wanted to talk about it.
Alias is my favorite show, and I thought last night's payoff was fantastic. And the set-up for coming episodes really compelling.

Yeah. Now THAT was a plot twist I was totally unprepared for.
Jack and Irina talking about how interesting it was that the one person who could peg sloan, had just been proven a 'traitor', almost by her own hand...
Cut to south sea island...
Definitely no complaints on the writing. Yeesh. Matt Helm was easier to keep up with.

I just want to know where it is going to go from here?
With no more SD-6, Sydney (and her Dad) are no longer double agents. So will they just work for the CIA, or will Sloan contact them and pretend to not know they are doubles?
Where does Syd's Mom fit into all of this?
Was Sloan looking to just destroy the Alliance, or is he planning on replacing it?
To: carton253
Oh yes, I may be mistaken but I believe that this is the first time since the series started that Sydney has actually killed off a bad guy. There was one episode during the first year that the outcome of some bad guy was confusing. Can't remember the exact episode.
I know that during a fight her ex-boyfriend fell on the knife but that doesn't count.
What a great show.

Oh, and...
What happens to her old SD-6 partener and the Geeky Weapons Guy?

I have to wonder... They introduced Rutger Hauer's character then killed him off in the very same episode.
But why did they add his name to the show's opening credits for a one-time only guest appearance? Just to make his death a bigger surprise?
Are we sure he's really dead?

Love the show. It doesnt insult the viewer. Good action, good humor (I love marshall!), and good times all around. Sunday nights its Alias and then Boomtown. Family action night, every sunday.

Wow... that is some sizzling wit you got there!

I didn't notice that Rutger was in the credits. More questions.

That's why I thought last night episode was fantastic. Where does it go from here?
To: carton253
Let's not forget, they still haven't totally closed the "Rimbaldi" story arc.
Maybe Sloan discovered something on his own and wanted to exploit it and not share it with the Alliance. I don't think he went through the trouble of destroying SD-6 just because he had to kill his wife. There is much more here...
To: Crusher138
Much more yes. Somebody mentioned Irina. Wonder if Sloan and Irina have cooked up something together.
Just like Saturday afternoons at the theater when I was 6 or 7. Silver and Hop-A-Long jumped off a cliff, oh my whats going to happen. Find out next Saturday.

I've never watched ALIAS, and from the promos during the Super Bowl, I never intend to. One of the folks watching the game with us said, "The rating for this show must be horrible...The promos keep showing the show's star in a bikini and lingerie." I second those remarks.
To: Crusher138
You are right about "Rimbaldi". No, I don't think Sloan destroyed SD-6 because of his wife...

I'm late to the party so I figure I must have missed something. Wasn't Sydney trapped under the arctic ice last week, about to drown in the frigid waters? Did I lose a whole week here (binge-drinking blackouts happen) or was that an out-of-sequence rerun?
To: Mr. Thorne
Thanks for posting the synopis for the show. I caught it a few weeks ago and am getting hooked!

The artic ice episode was a repeat. You didn't lose a week.

I was hooked the first episode! C'mon! Spy chick, high tech gizmos, intrigue, covert ops, tae kwon do, tooth pulling evil chinese agents, hot russian kgb double agents...
What's not to like?
Heck, they're even running "American Woman" as the intro music again... woo hoo!
= D

I was excited to see him as replacement for Sloan. He is a great actor in the bad German roles -- so sinister! But, they bumped him off. What's with that?
