A lot of people think that there is some kind of "surprise" prepared for us in Baghdad.

It may be that the main IRAQI force is deployed and hidden throughout Baghdad. One nasty scenario occurred to me where the power outage that started today was deliberate. That in turn, makes me wonder, "Why?"

There were Iraqi solders seen in the vicinity who were WEARING their gas masks!!

The power is a possible trigger mechanism. There are probably WMD dispersal charges hidden all over the city. They are now armed. When the US comes in and liberates Baghdad and restores the power to the city then BOOM!

The plan is designed to take out as many US Troops as possible and kill all the Iraqi's who failed to fight to the death against US.

This scenario is consistent with the behavior of this regieme. Why else did they kill the power? Ran out of fuel perhaps?

The Iraqi's get rid of Al Jazeerah and all other outside media, they take reporters to the airport to "prove" that there is no one there, the lights go out, we take the airport, they send their own people to the airport . . . I'm afraid that it looks like they may go ahead and use those WMD on both us and their own people at the airport in the dark without any media coverage and then try to spin it and sell the other arab nations propaganda to the effect that WE did it. Hearing the Syrian prime minister today I know that he would believe them, no matter what the facts say.

You're right. Kicking out Al Jazerah is part of the sign that something's afoot.

The airport could be a big booby trap but Baghdad is a HUGE city. WMD at the airport wouldn't kill very many people unless the wind was just right.

The Saddamites may want to get the US forces within Baghdad and envelope them with thousands of WMD releasing explosions all around them.
