If these clowns were such a boon to the economy, California would be the wealthiest state on the planet. Instead it's $40 billion in the hole. Isn't that the truth.

Round them up and pitch them the heck out of here as soon as possible.... by the millions. AMEN TO THAT.

And Texas is right behind California, Mexican activists along the border are making threats if any budget cuts are made trying to balance the state budget here ---they want their welfare handouts.

I believe that one of the reasons this was not put in News/Activism is because of the URL identifier. You put "flyer in NYC", where I would have put "dignityandamnesty.org".
Also, if the admins went to the URL to verify the story and saw the 2002 date, this would have been considered "old news". I would search around for something more current. My guess is that there would be something on this at the radical IndyMedia's New York site. I know there are marches planned in 50 cities in hopes to get the "Dream Act" passed.

"And Texas is right behind California,"And the rest of the U.S. is following. Special concessions are being made everywhere and the trend will only increase from what I see.
In WI the DMV has decided that too many Hispanics are failing their driver's license exams so they are offering special classes in Spanish and allowing them to take the test orally (with prompting, I'm sure) opposed to the written exam. When road signs are all in English is it asking too much for drivers to be able to actually read them?
My daughter's grade school is having a cinco de mayo celebration this year. One day after forgetting to take her lunch to school she told me if she were Mexican she'd get a free lunch. (OK, I'm sure they don't all get free lunches). Art, music, home ec, etc. funding gets cut but God forbid we should cut funding for the bilingual classes and extra ESL teachers. I've heard teachers complaining that there aren't enough ESL teachers (I always tell them English immersion works best).

Thanks, madfly, you could be right about my identifying it as a flyer, but the (erroneous) 2002 date did not appear until you posted the flyer from their website, and the post appeared in the wrong forum immediately. Either my mistake or your original analysis, or this is considered a less-than-newsworthy post.
I have contacted the admin moderator, John Robinson, and finally Jim Robinson. Since the post has still not been moved, I defer to the leadership's decision.

Is there anything around establishing that there's going to be a 1 May 2003 rally in Washington DC?

what happened is you put "flyer on streets of NYC" as the source for this post, and when they clicked on the URL there was no "flyer", no typed information about the rally, and no mention of the two contact names you used for "author".
I poked around the dignityandamnesty.org website and could not find anything with the info that you posted. Most of the stuff was dated 2002. The Florida branch is having a video debate on May 1st. The group seems to be a Catholic activist group called YCW.
I should not have posted the copy of the 2002 poster without noting the date.
What has happened, is since there is nothing at the URL to verify the information in your post, this is considered a "heads up" report of what you saw or a "freeper report".
See this from the posting guidelines:
Vanity posts, creations of the poster him or herself, should meet a high standard of quality before one is even considered worthy of posting.
So, from what I can tell, this was considered worthy of posting, but not considered a news article. Sometimes, if you put VANITY in the title, they let things like this run in the regular forum, but there are always posts complaining about too many vanity posts.
It's good that you posted this and very strange that this group hasn't posted this info on their website. Maybe they don't want to get FREEPED!!

This might be a good day to light up the congress critters fax machines. Remind him/her how many laws are being broken. Remind him/her illegals can't "legally" vote for them. If they did so it would be "sedition" or Interfering with the "lawful" elections of a foreign country. Any number of US codes broken by them to obtain the ability to "vote" automatically eliminates their "eligibilty" for citizenship.

It's not a Catholic group either. There is a Catholic group called Dignity, which advocates practicing homosexuals' being accepted to receive the sacraments, but this is not the same group.

Excellent suggestions.

Thanks for the ping. We'll check this out.
If all these people are planning to march through cities across the country on May 1, perhaps a heads up should be given to the Immigration Department. It would be a perfect time to round up a bunch of people who are in the country illegally and send them home. No one should be able to DEMAND anything of our country or its citizens when that person or group is breaking the laws of that same country.

It sure is. And here is the correct link.
http://www.dignityandamnesty.org/e_hoy_a.htm
Now we can get this in the main forum.
Possible title:
National Coalition for Dignity and Amensty plans May 1st March on DC
How sly of them to only have the current info on the spanish page. Funny how you never see signs saying "I want to be a citizen" or "I love America".(Note to self: use computer to teach myself Spanish!)

These people could show up with their bags packed at INS headquarters and they still wouldn't be rounded up. The federal government caved on "regular" illegal immigration long ago. Few besides felons and terrorism suspects get deported.
We should Freep this event.
