An Atkins update bump! Hope all are doing well, I would not mind some input and update!
I wish I could tell you that I was 100% but no. The most shameful part is that I didnt fall by eating a hot fudge sundae but (are you sitting down) it was a bowl of Navy bean soup!! Holy Smokes!
Well it is your turn! how's it going?
I back on track.

I've been sticking to the diet pretty much. Can't say I've lost any weight, but my clothes feel looser...and I feel better!

Update:

After doing Atkins for two months last year, I lost about 10 pounds. Then I went off Atkins and back to my old ways and gained it all back. Moral: If you have a carb problem (and I'm not fat, but now I'm in my 30's, and I just can't eat the things I used to, and I started to gain weight; I figured it was better to nip it NOW) you have to eat differently for the rest of your life if you want to arrest the weight gain.

So last week I went back on induction, and have lost 3 pounds the first week, without feeling hungry, but faithfully following the induction per the Atkins book.

For those who have trouble sticking to induction, I recommend getting Ketostix to measure the amount of ketones excreted; it's hard to cheat when you know the diet is working and you're in ketosis.

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, please get "Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution" book. Also you can get some great recipes at locarb websites; I tried some out on hubby, and he (finicky eater) even liked them. Stuff like crustless quiche, meatloaf (no bread), chicken breasts baked with cheese and broccoli. Yum!
