We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Tonight, at 9:00 PM ET, Hitlery will be interviewed on CNN. Opposite that, on Fox News, there will be an interview with Juanita Broaddrick.
Meanwhile, The New York Times, in a review of Stealing Cheating Living History, referred to the "work" as a "[b]ook [that] has the overprocessed taste of a stump speech, the calculated polish of a string of anecdotes to be delivered on a television chat show." [Ouch!]
The FBI has drained a Maryland swamp as part of its anthrax probe.
Former Executive Editor of The New York Times, Harold Raines made a contemporaneous argument that then President Clinton should not be removed from office over the Lewinsky scandal. Now former President Clinton, it turned out, argued with the owner of the paper that Raines should not be let go over the Jayson Blair scandal.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LET'S ROLL!!!
Something wicked this way comes....
Michael Chertoff comfirmed as Judge.
I didn't sleep well either; however, I think my case was due to the a/c being on the fritz.
Watsa matter? The judge didn't buy her book?
Besides, why is your ac on the fritz? Appliance demons, I say, sent to torment you by their mistress.
Iowa Granny, are you anywhere near Toddsville? I have a internet ponding friend who has a wonderful ponding site. Greg's Goldfish & Koi Farm
AMERICAS WAR ON TERROR Day 638
The news as reported in The Washington Times:
[Note All links go to The Washington Times website.]
1. The United States says a leading associate of Al Qaeda fled from Iraq only to hole up in Iran.
[Iran, the birthplace and major provider for modern terrorism.]
U.S. says Iran harbors al Qaeda 'associate'
2. Iran, however, does agree with the United States on one thing: Iraq harbored and hid weapons of mass destruction.
[Interesting.]
3. Even as Israel was dismantling a West Bank settlement, Hamas said the peace plan put forward by President Bush is a mistake.
[Yeah, probably because it doesnt abolish Israel.]
Hamas leader calls U.S. peace plan 'mistake'
4. Researchers conclude phonics education helps reading.
[Duh!]
Researchers verify reading ability gets a boost from phonics
5. The Supreme Court reopened the ability of veterans to sue Dow Chemical and Monsanto over their creation of Agent Orange.
[Not a good day to be holding their stock.]
Court allows veterans to reopen chemical cases
6. Hitlery says Ken Starr overlooked rules, procedures and decency [sic] when conducting the investigation against UOx42, and said it was a low moment in American history.
[Funny if UOx42 had simply accepted responsibility for his actions, then the low moment would never have occurred. Hitlery, news flash, the low moment wasnt caused by Ken Starr, it was caused by your husband. Grow up.]
Hillary's memoirs take aim at Starr
7. Washington, DC, mayor Williams sticks behind his nominee for the Department of Human Services, despite misgivings by the City Council.
[I find myself agreeing with the City Council on this one. The nominee has a record of mismanagement while heading a similar agency in Baltimore. Then again, I suppose that makes her highly qualified to be paid a six-figure salary and work for the District.]
Mayor sticks with Gilchrist for post
8. After admitting employee misconduct in an internal investigation into its accounting, Freddie Mac accepted resignations from its president and two other officials.
[Why am I worried it is only the tip of the iceberg?]
Freddie Mac fires president over audit
We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.

Now you have the info, go support the United States of America!!!
This book definitely belongs in the fiction section.
Daniels has the best shot at winning the Statehouse, in my opinion.
David McIntosh, from my experience on his campaign, is more suited for a legislative position. He ran a bad campaign and is ill-suited for an executive position, especially one that is going to require a lot of working with democrats in order to get the state out of the mess it is in. Clark says he will not take the lieutenant governor's position on the ticket, but is supporting Daniels unequivocally.
I think the Mayor of Petersburg will be offered the lieutanant governor position, and that will leave the two far-right candidates splitting the vote on that wing of the party.
Those who are purists ideologically may have trouble with my position, but is is vital that the Republicans get the governorship and hopefully swing the legislature back to our side. The state is in perilous budget territory, and we need someone who is organized and able to deal with number-crunching, as is Daniels.
Anyway, that is my Indiana political analysis for today.
Also, the favorite to win the democrat nomination is the evil dweeb Joe Andrew, AlGore's former DNC chair, who is a poisonous little crook who should be sent back to the minor leagues. His election would be a disaster for the state.
*********Maureen the Magnificent needed only an ellipsis to pull off her trick and, hesto presto, the simple meaning of a presidential comment was changed. It's done like so, to quote her column of May 14:
"Busy chasing off Saddam, the president and vice president had told us that al-Qaida was spent. 'Al-Qaida is on the run,' the president said last week. 'That group of terrorists who attacked our country is slowly, but surely, being decimated. . They're not a problem anymore.'"
Here is what the president actually said in Little Rock, Ark., on May 5, with the missing words in italics:
"Al-Qaida is on the run. That group of terrorists who attacked our country is slowly, but surely, being decimated. Right now, about half of all the top Al-Qaida operatives are either jailed or dead. In either case, they're not a problem any more." *********
