Can any of you recommend a good internet site for learning about how the stock market and/or economy works? Thanks.

I recommend Motley Fool also.
In addition they offer a very low rate credit card to replace higher interest ones : )

First, I would argue you should drop the term "stock market" and think in terms of "financial market"
Having made that mental jump, have a taste of this
Also remember we had Steve Forbes as a conservative Presidential candidate in 2000. He publishes the best of the best financial magazines and has a great web site.
Lastly, there is turmoil in the pundit business and everybody has an agenda. Lots of chaff blowing around and wheat is hard to find.
Finally, (I lied about lastly) we have some great minds, far sharper than mine, right here on Free Republic.
