Greetings freepers, I am the author of a bi-weekly column, that runs in several newspapers, and the ConservativeJud Newsletter. As many of you count yourselves among my readers, you will recognize me as a committed conservative and dedicated messenger of the Right, with an estimated readership of up to 100,000 individual readers. I thank all of you for your support and, and I ask your indulgence as I request your advice. I am by no means a computer savy person. Right now, I am using my yahoo address to mail my (free) newsletter out to my subscribers and my column to the websites and newspapers that carry it. This is a frustrating and time consuming process, as I don't want to share my subscriber's addresses without their permission. I currently spend over three hours sending each newsletter and email individually. I need to find an email service that would allow me to send to all of my readers at once, while keeping their addresses hidden. In order for me to use such a service, it must be free or very low cost, as I am a perpetually broke college student, working my way through school. Please respond to me via Free Republic, or contact me directly at conservativejud@yahoo.com Thank you, Judson Cox

Why cant you blind CC all of the email addresses in a single email? That way, no one sees anyone else's address, but you mail everyone at once.

No Problem. No Cost.
Setup MS Outlook as your e-mail program. You can the compose e-mail and put the e-mail addresses in the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) line.

I made an online newsletter for my church that sends to everyone by using the BCC (blind carbon copy) where no one can see who is included.

I don't see what the problem is.
You draft your article.
In the "To" field, you address it to yourself.
Then you put a check to the left of all your subscribers' names and click "Bcc" (Blind copy).
Your subscriber sees that you sent the article to yourself, but NOT your other subscribers' addresses.

If Iunderstand you, your problem isn't how to send out blind emails but the fact your list is so large that your ISP is giving you trouble over how many you are sending, or your connection is relatively so slow it takes forever to send them? How big is your list?

Check out this site. It allows you to set up a mailserver to distribute newsletters, etc. Be sure to read the fine print. It is free, but it may attach advertising to your newsletter mailing--but it does not use your mail for other purposes. Also, (it's been a while since I've read their policies), it used to only allow 1 set of mailings per day. So you could not send out 2 or more mailings from the same list. It would require all of your subscribers to re-sign up; I'm not sure that you can xfer your current subscriber list--check with the webmaster about that.

Before you start with MS Outlook (NOT OUTLOOK EXPRESS), spend time testing. You may want to pay particular attention to the compose "mail format".
Avoid MS Rich Text Format (RTF) many of your readers may not be able to view it.
Just BCC like the folks say..

Many thanks y'all. It turned out that I did have a two pronged problem: 1)ignorance, and 2) a connection that was too slow. All is remedied now!
