Not really! I have to bite my tongue all the time around here. Believe me, being a Conservative AND a Nationalist (ie. NOT a Liberal, One-Worlder) in academia is not fun. {/my own rant}

Mind if I ask where you are? (Geographically, if you'd rather not say which school.) I'm in a state university in the South, and my department (Computer Science) is 9/10's conservative, pro-Israel, and pro-Bush. (The tenth guy is just a jerk.)

Well, I know you're in the minority most of the time.

We went to a "support the troops" rally at the University here (of Alabama) which had been organized by some law students. One of the organizers said that he had been threatened with "investigation" by one of his law professors for organizing this rally. There were some professors carrying peace signs, accompanied by students sporting multiple piercings and multi-colored hair also at this rally, but, in at least this instance, they were outnumbered by supporters of the troops.
