I got furious over an Amazon policy, e-mailed him. Told him I was taking my book business--I buy 100-150 per year--elsewhere and told him why. Told him I was sure he wouldn't lose any sleep over my little bit of business, but I thought he should know what was going on in his company. I didn't hear back from him personally, but I got assured from the reamees that it had indeed been read, that Bezos brought a printout of it into an executive meeting, read it, and said, "Is this man telling the truth?" I was, of course, and they wound up making a major policy change store-wide as a result of that e-mail.
