~The Dragon Flies Lair II~

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

wishful thinking
fantasies

I dare not whisper
what I want to say

If I continue with these imaginations
I will only disappoint myself

what am I to do
about you
about me
about us?

I'll never leave you
our friendship secure
so what's wrong in wanting more?

I want the us in my dreams to become real
even if only for one sweet moment

one moment to share
the totality of you

I want more of you
intimately

so you blush
what else do you think about
when you read my heart?

do you wish my thoughts would go away
do you wish I didn't feel this way?

do you wish?

I know I said in my previous post no poetry tonight, but alas, I couldn't sleep and had to get it out of my head onto "paper", so to speak.

Goodnight.

LOL, sleep well little one!

In your packing crate you go
slumber soft and slumber low
and dream your dreams you
sleepy head, see you tomorrow
under the bed!

Good night poets in the Lair
May your muse be kind
your sleep be deep
your dreams be rare
your morning bright
and your love sublime

Looking in your eyes,
I get lost in the moment.
I must be dreaming.

Surrender to me,
be my love forever more.
We two shall be one.

Love, just lovely, Chylde.

I could spend a week trying to write to a poem half as good as yours.

the past and present
wishes for what might have been
dreams of what could be

What was it you said to me,
you did not understand love,
I don't either, I just like
the way I feel when
I am cared about, respected,
honored, cherished, and pampered.

I like those secret little smiles
those little glances out of the
corner of your eye
the little dimple in your chin
and that oh so coy silly grin
or the way you'll take my hand
to your face and just touch
my skin with a lite touch of
your warm lips...
No I really don't know love
at all, but I sure do love
the way your voice
sounds on the other end of the phone
and your special laugh when you're
embarrassed, oh yes, I love to be loved
by you....
But I really don't know love at all.

Now that's good haiku SAM.

Wise words put together perfectly. I think on your next camping trip you should take pen and paper. ;)
