I wish I had some "poet" in me so I could add some goodies to this thread. That's ok! I can still read and enjoy!! Thanks for turning me on to this haunting beauty. :-)

I sometimes (rarely) make two versions of one haiku.
I have an example you may enjoy. The first version
came to mind 'cause my brother used to play a game
called "Castlevania" in which you fight Dracula. There
is one particular line in the game that is quite
memorable, one of Dracula's wives attempts to attack
you while saying "Come to me , Harker, my love
& I shall taste your flesh." Version two was created to
be less... I'll say disturbing for lack of a better word.

(version 1)
You make me hungry.
I think I'll have dessert now,
let me taste your flesh.

(version 2)
You make me want you.
I've lost my self control now,
let me taste your lips.
