Any Polling News on the Special Election for Janklow's seat?

I live in Minnesota but it's hard to find any decent info on the special election for Bill "Speed Demon" Janklow's old seat.

I'm guessing Herseth has a lead because of her name ID was her run in 2002.

Does the GOP stand a chance here or are they already writing this seat off?

I still stand by my previous contention that Thune would be a shoo-in if he ran for his old seat. I think we're gonna turn this seat over to the Dems. I hope not though.

Yah, but oh well. She'll have to run again in 6 months, and Thune has got bigger fish to fry.

I think Thune will win if we can keep the Democrat voter fraud to a minimum.

The most recent public poll I've seen is the Mason-Dixon poll on February 7. It gives Herseth a 58% to 29% lead over Diedrich. That's not surprising, given her greater name I.D. But there are 9 weeks left before the election, and in politics, a lot can happen. I expect that Diedrich is gaining ground, which even the 'Rats expected.
