Help Navy SEAL defeat Ted Kennedy's son

Dear Fellow Patriot:

There are less than 100 days left until Election Day and I need your help now more than ever!

I am running for the United States House of Representatives against Congressman Patrick Kennedy, the liberal son of Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy. And I need your help. We are going to run the strongest most determined campaign and together we will win.

Yes, I was a Navy SEAL, I served with Navy SEAL Team 2 for eight years and I was decorated for heroic achievement in Operation Just Cause during the Invasion of Panama. But my desire to serve isn't gone. My mission to protect your family starts with my desire to protect my family. My wife and sons are the reason I am running. I see in them the same needs your family has.

Back in February, Mr. Kennedy said something I found outrageous. Mr. Kennedy said, and I must paraphrase due to his embarrassing use of profanity:

"I don't need Bush's tax cut. I have never worked a [blanking] day in my life."

Let me say two things. First we don't need a foul-mouthed congressman representing us in Washington. Second, I don't want to cover my children's ears every time Congressman Kennedy speaks.

If this arrogant comment makes you as upset as me then please make your most generous contribution and help me defeat Patrick Kennedy.

Who do you think will do a better job of protecting America?

Would Navy defense contractors rather talk to a Navy Seal who served on the USS Saratoga... or Patrick Kennedy who wrecks the riggings of rented sailboats and leaves them entangled in fishing nets?

Who would Air Force contractors rather talk to?

A Navy Seal who has parachuted into the Adriatic Sea... or Patrick Kennedy who only flies first class?

Who would the Military Brass at the Pentagon listen to?

A Navy Seal who has served with them, who has used the equipment they want built, flown in the planes they want upgraded and sailed on the ships that need refurbishing....or Patrick Kennedy who has never served, and would seem to be quite proud of never having worked.

If you believe that I will do a better job then please help me send the Kennedy's a message!

Let a Navy Seal who has worked and trained to accomplish a mission approach the problems that face this state and country... jobs, taxes, healthcare. These are all enormously difficult and complex areas to dive into. But I can do it. I know what it means to take on a mission that seems impossible. And I know what it means to succeed when no one thought you could.

Please visit my web site at www.Rogers2004.com and join the team. Experience has taught me that teamwork is the key to success, and that a small, dedicated and hard working band of brothers (and sisters) can accomplish great things, if they work together.

GOD BLESS,

Dave Rogers U.S. Navy SEAL – Team 2 Republican for Congress – RI-1

P.S. Time is of the essence so I must ask you to please make your most generous donation today. Will you pledge $1 a day between now an election day and contribute $100 to my campaign. I have been at this for over 1000 days and I need your help in this final push. Please help me defeat the Ultra-Liberal Kennedy.

As much as I would like to see Dave Rogers defeat Pat Kennedy, if someone has enough spare change to donate to other causes, I think it would be more wisely donated to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, who are playing their ads in "battleground states", or states in which the contest for U.S. Senator is viable.

IMHO, even though obtaining 60 seats, including RINOs, could be regarded as wishful thinking, the battle for the Senate is more important because its rules require the magic number of 60 votes to pass any bill without significant, compromising amendments.

Rhode Island is hopelessly liberal. It has Jack Reed(Dem) and Lincoln Chafee(Rep) in the Senate. Chafee inherited his seat from his father, and he's the most reliable RINO in the Senate. Pat Kennedy got his job because of name recognition, and their other Congressman is a dem, Jim Langevin.
