McCain Still Up By 10 in Georgia (Formerly Known As The Land of Hope and Change)
The Patriot Room ^ | June 30, 2008 | Bill Dupray

Wait a second. I distinctly recall Obama’s campaign chief telling us in this story, Obama Writes Off Florida and Ohio: Concedes Must Win Some Republican States, that Georgia was in play this year. It would be interesting to see how much money Obama actually spends in GA. Maybe it would be better spent defending Blue states rather than trying to flip Red ones.

I believe McCain is going to win big in November.

I'm so going to enjoy watching the mainstream news anchors and their fallen faces on election night. (One of the best reasons to vote for McCain will be to stick it to the in-the-tank-for-Obama media.) It'll be more fun than watching Dan Rather on election night in 1994.

This is shaping up to be 1972 all over again. I wonder if the dems will get “buyers remorse” and go back to nominating Hillary or Al Gore in August?!

The polls are close now, but I think Obama can only go downhill from here.

I think some people thought Georgia could flip because of Bob Barr running for pres. as a Libertarian, and he was a congressman from Georgia, and would drain votes from McCain.

Imagine if it’s a McGovern style landslide for McCain. Imagine how much fun election night will be to watch. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, but I think it could happen. If Obama wins, I think it will be a close election. If Mc Cain wins, he could win a solid victory.

I agree. Obama has already reached his peak (though he'll have a little upward nudge again after the convention). He has nowhere to go but down, and he's already headed in that direction. Bad news for him.

In the privacy of the voting booth, most Americans are going to have the common sense to vote for McCain.

Well, if enough super delegates switch from Obama to Hillary, that would do it, since Hillary still has all her pledged delegates committed to her on the 1st ballot. It wouldn’t take many super delegates to change their minds to make it happen.

but if that does happen, then you are back to that nightmare of people thinking Obama had the nomination stolen from him by a back room deal. Which then leads to hard feelings, a party split, and maybe even protest marches and violence in the streets.

I really believe it will be close to a 49-state debacle for Obama. Maybe he'll get 5 or 6 states -- but that's still a Republican landslide. Won't election night be pure joy? Just thinking about Chris Matthews' reaction brings a smile to my face.

Obama is likely the stupidest nominee either major party has put forth in my lifetime.

If the Obama camp is so confidant, than why does Obama keep flipping on issues that got him to the big dance?

In a sane world, Obama would lose in a landslide. Sadly, the world is no longer sane.

Bambi could still pull it off. The MSM will have to continue to play cheerleader for another four months and not take a critical look at him at all for it to happen, but so far they are giving every indication they are willing to play along.

I think we are looking at another close race that could break either way.

Obama has to the biggest puzzlement not only to Republicans but to at least 40 percent of the Democrats.

How Stupid can Americans be to want a nobody by the name of Barack Hussein Obama(with a questionable past ..(.cocaine, moslim, radical background to lead their country), I am guessing, not as stupid as Obama and his handlers thought.

Barrack Hussein Obama reminds me of my Uncle Bill. While growing up he would attend our family reunions and get togethers. All the while in the background with his chin in the air holding his cigarettes with the style you'd see in a gangster movie.

He thought he was better than everyone. Entitled to more even though he was nearly as dirt poor as the rest of us.

The first time I laid eyes on Obama, that entitlement and mendacity shined straight through!!

Barr will not do well GA due to his disagreement w/ Boortz on the principle that we are ‘Liberators’ and not occupiers in Iraq. It is what it is, Fly-Paper for the Middle-East; much to the benefit of the Iraqis... if they so hopefully decide. Many Libertarians aren’t willing to pursue the war on islamofascism as McCain has voiced support and that is why I don’t think el libers can do that well in GA.

I vote Libertarian, within reason, and vote that way in order to smite big-pimpin’ republicans, but the quite real possibility exists of the total annihilation of an American city and it persists for at the bare minimum of the next 50-100 years and the Libertarians, to my knowledge, will not admit to this stark fact.

No government has a monopoly on perpetuity. The 2nd is THE line we all man.

Only a quarter of the folks in my small office here in Atlanta are voting McCain

There are four of us who are level headed and realistic...and that’s not counting a third outsource person who is gay and still got enough sense to vote McCain.

Aah... that’s what they say now — but how they will really vote compared with how they SAY they will vote will likely be totally different. A whole lot of people think they need to say they are voting for the Obamination, but on election day == oops, they will pull the lever for the other guy.

Only a quarter of my staff is voting for McCain...yes.

We have a small staff of artists/writers, and they are rabid liberals, and many are gay.

What impresses me, however, is the gay man we outsource work to who is voting for McCain.

And I know a gay couple...older men in their early 60s...who vote conservative, too.
