Only 86 votes thus far - 76% say they will vote for McCain - regardless. Seems to me like I heard someone with the press mention that as many as 30% had already voted. Sure that isn’t true but by late October a lot of us will have already voted.

No.

My regard for polls and "debates" is below contempt.
They are both addressed at the least common denominator who inhabit the world of "non-thinking".

Just listen to all the debates you wish from the past.
If 10% of the assertions and promises turned out to be true or accurate on all sides, I would be amazed.

Why would anyone bother?

The best indicator is experience and achievement. Not promises.
To check and review that, no debates are necessary.

No, I am not easily manipulated by "a" debate. Neither one gets my vote. I am going by the track history of both of them. I have also given up on voting for the lesser of evils, you can't scare me to vote against someone anymore.
