With freshman Rep. Frank Kratovil’s (D-Md.) conservative Eastern Shore district near the top of the Republican target list next year, Maryland state Sen. Andy Harris aims to avenge what turned out to be one of the most disappointing losses of 2008 for the GOP.
But he might not be alone.
Sources say state Sen. E.J. Pipkin is also leaning toward entering the primary for a second-straight cycle, and former state House Minority Leader Al Redmer told The Hill on Monday that he too could run against Harris.

I do not want a lib elected. I want a Center-Right person elected. Did you just read Balz’s view on the 2008 electon showing Pubs simply disappearing all cross the board and that included conservs? I want sure Pub winners that are Centerright and can hold seats. Crist is no Susan Collins or Specter. Rubio should run for guv. That would give the Pubs two high profile guys running at the same time. The Pubs just do not think politically as the rotten Dems do and that is why they lose .
If you’re supporting Crist, you ARE supporting a liberal. That’s why the GOP leadership just doesn’t get it, and why if it continues down that path of shooting down people like Rubio and other authentic Conservatives, it will continue to wither away to nothing. That’s why the GOP is DEAD in the northeast when liberals hijacked the individual state parties.
And how many primary votes will Rubio get in his challenge to Crist? I agree that Crist is not my first choice. But, he will win. Sorry, that is just a fact. Rubio would be better off running for guv. The Dems do not have a strong person running for that office.

He's better off running for Senator. McCollum is running for Governor.

They have a first tier candidate who has won statewide, Alex Sink. Sink is about evenly matched with McCollum. But the imperative here is to take down Crist at all costs. We cannot have these damnable liberals that give Conservatives the middle finger serving under our party label. Like I said, they are KILLING our party one state at a time.
