Nonsense. The Hispanic vote isn’t going to conservatives anyway and we probably should stop daydreaming about it.

Oh please. Nobody said the Dems were alienating Hispanics when they tore apart the supremely well qualified Miguel Estrada and destroyed his nomination.

I’m really tired of identity politics. The GOP needs to start banging the drum that they could care less about anyone’s race and that anyone who mentions it is clearly racist. That’s how the argument should be framed.

Yep. Except, then we are no longer the Republican Party when we start pandering. Dipsh*t...what the hell happened to Maine? Overrun by Massholes?

Snowe's statements make about as much sense as saying you could alienate white voters by refusing to confirm David Duke.
Yeah, I know, there is a higher percentage of Hispanic racists than white racists, but the Republicans aren't going to outdo the Democrats in pandering to them. Just see how much good Hispandering did for John McCain's vote totals!

raise "a serious concern" about alienating their Hispanic constituencies It would alienate only the racist Hispanics. ....who of course would never vote GOP anyway.

Sotomayor was incompetent to sit on the High Court.
Enough of this nonsense. You’re “alientating” ME and millions more like me. We’re a helluva lot more important than any racist voters you are pandering to.
To: rabscuttle385
These dolts are clueless when it comes to conservative principles. Conservatives are colorblind no matter their race. To suggest that all Hispanics are hopelessly Liberal is racist in itself!

SO?
8 years of GW Bush pandering didn’t help.
His hispanic Supreme Court and other high court nominees didn’t result in any increase in hispanic or media support.
Why bother?
Stick to principals and let the dem’s pander.

WFC? Hispanics want to make us into Nuevo Mexico, it seems. They won’t vote for conservatives (although I realize the fallacy of that argument with regards to Snowe).
Yet another example of the enemy telling us how we should act in order to gain power...insanity...

Listenhillary to the Hispanics and Olympia Snowe. We’re broke and out of gas. If you want to chip in and help push, welcome. If you want to hop in the wagon while we push, stay home.

GOP needs to give “Hispanics” more Hope ‘n Change.
Starting with free “health care reform” for 25 million++ Mexican/Honduran/Salvadorean/Guatemalan illegal aliens.
And free spanking new American identities.
And free perpetual “Z Visas.”
