Sarah also quotes extensively from the philosophy of Ronald Reagan.

Sarah -- you ROCK. You and Todd (not to mention Track) are in my prayers.

And you have my vote, and best efforts, should you decide to run.

Cheers!

Fresh Birdcage Liner on Sarah's book.

(What a waste: I bet every FReeper is busy reading the original, and neither needs nor wants a review. But it's still fun to compare impressions.)

Cheers!

A reviewer offered some comments on NPR today and to borrow the phrase here, the “snark” didn’t come. She did use the phrase “whining” but that’s subjective and not worth arguing. The important thing about the interview was that she saw something in Sarah Palin that she hadn’t seen before, and as she put it “everyone is buying this book”. The final comment was about her determination and ability to persevere. I suspect that itself scares liberals as badly as any of her politics...

Excellent review (and it sounds to be a facinating book of Sarah's as well. I can't wait to get my hands on it and I am a slow reader so I appreciate your alacrity on both the reading and super speed review!)

I loved this passage that you wrote above:

I was waiting for the expected snark about my low IQ, but it didn't come. I suspect the clerk felt as the sand castle does at the moment it looks up and sees the tsunami approaching, just after it had been celebrating how far the ocean had receded...

Lovely stuff. I could hang with you even though you would kick me into Tuesday with your speed at reading and writing and I would enjoy every minute of it. :-).

Thanks so very much for your review and God, God bless Sarah and her family. I got chills just reading some of what you wrote before you wrote that you had chills. Sarah is destined for change in out country and I am so very grateful to have her!!

Great review. We have two copies on the way. I also read that contributors of $100 or more to SarahPAC will receive a signed copy.

"I'mInForTen" campaign kicked in this morning when Sarah's Facebook supporters passed the 1,000,000 mark, so SarahPAC is getting a great boost tonight.

As the snakehead Carville said, "Dis is wahr, y'all."

Bought my copy today. :)

I’m suspecting that 1.5 million copies which seemed like a lot - is going to sell out and this book will become the largest-circulation collectors item in the history of publishing.

“You have a first printing copy of Sarah’s book”??

(it will be said with genuine awe)

No. I’m not kidding. This book is going to set records.

it’s enough for me to see what the Axis of Evil (the media, the elites, the political class) does to her. that probably the best indication of somebody’s character and charisma.

Thanks for taking the time to post this excellent review. You make me really anxious to get my copy.

I am in the Philippines right now and I hope to see it in the bookstore here soon-they carry all the left wing books from the US, so it would be a crime if they don’t carry this one.

But she didn't *stay* on the outside. She organized a grass-roots movement for governor, against many more "connected" people, based on representing the people: not merely talking of it, but driving 12-hour round trips in her VW Jetta for meet-and-greets, when she couldn't afford the airfare. Meeting with Native villagers--with both her own children and the campaign staffers' children in tow.

It came to me, that if you understand Sarah, you understand what her father Chuck Heath said. "Sarah didn't quit. She stopped to Reload."

But a better metaphor came to me as I was reading your review.

General Patton didn't quit attacking the German Army when he disengaged, wheeled the 3rd Army and marched to relieve Bastogne. He defeated them utterly.

Imagine the last 4 months if Sarah had not come to the defense of our country immediately!!!

Petty careerists just don't get it. She isn't worried about running for President, that she trusts to God. She is fighting to save our country like the rest of us now, when it matters because if we lose 2010, there really won't be any hope or change in 2012.

Good report. I think I’ll request the audiobook from the library. I can’t read much these days: Frank knocks the books out of my hands.
