Palin is making a big mistake endorsing McAmnesty over a more Conservative candidate.

A busy three days -- excellent!

But where's his Mohave County stops? He has HUGE support here.

Don’t worry. This is just an early voyage. He will get there.

JD Bump!

I'm incredibly excited about his candidacy. Even if JD does not prevail in the primaries, he forces McJuan to tack right in order to win. Splendid work!

I'm also excited about JD's camapaign, but the only real satisfactory outcome is McCain's defeat. The little weasel will not hesitate to tack right to win, and he also will not hesitate to return to his true form and resume his undermining, backstabbing, RINO ways if reelected.

I think that, since he really hasn't formally announced, any poll is meaningless. (Read: one poll has JD behind in double digits) However, JD eaisly won "straw polls" amongst Republicans earlier.

IMHO, what needs to be promptly corrected is the "open primary" in AZ. Otherwise, the Dems will skew the election results.

Whatever the primary results, it is a victory in forcing McCain to lurch to the right. However, an outright win would be very sweet! (Evil chuckle--then we could all watch what's-her-name do a quick pirouette to support the consistently conservative candidate she should have backed all along)

JD will do well in Sierro Vista, Benson and Wilcox. But lets be frank, he must do really well in Phoenix to win the primary.

True. I'm just doing some anticipatory "feelings damage control" just in case JD does not win the primary election.

Isn't Phoenix in Maricopa County? And isn't that the county which elects Sheriff Joe by healthy margins?

Is that why his campaign office is in Phoenix? I always wonder how these things work themselves out...

I understand. I don't even live in Arizona, but this is by far the single most important race to me this election year. America does not need John McCain in the US Senate a day beyond his current term.

I agree. I think it is extremely interesting and very exciting. Also, in light of Sheriff Joe's ringing endorsement of JD, this is going to be a really great race to watch. And, to contribute to ;)

I'm off to the library now to pick up JD's book, "Whatever it Takes"

So many books, so precious little time...

Well, why do some think Phoenix will be so difficult for JD? If that county is reelecting Sheriff Joe and JD is far more in agreement with Joe than McCain is. It seems JD should have some strong support in the county.

But Arizona politics can be confusing, with what I'd guess is the largest county electing Arpaio by healthy margins, but the state electing Napolitano governor twice (?).

I don't live there. Can you clear up these seeming incongruences?

There is one factor here that isn't mentioned often: McCain's pro-amnesty pushes have been during his present senate term. He's never sought reelection after having become Mr. Amnesty for Illegals.
