Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth accused Sen. John McCain on Tuesday of employing a scorched earth strategy against him in Arizonas Republican primary campaign for the Senate.
Hayworth, who officially announced his candidacy Monday, said during an interview on MSNBC that McCain was panicked by the challenge.
They were running radio ads against me before I even announced for Congress, claiming that I had voted to eradicate snakes on Guam, Hayworth said. The funny thing is John McCain made the same vote.
I really am somewhat amused but, at the same time, concerned for my old friend because apparently he believes there is one set of rules for John McCain and another set of rules for everybody else, Hayworth said.
Then, the former six-term congressman accused McCain of running a scorched earth campaign against him.

John McCain is running a tougher campaign against Hayworth than he did against Hussein.

“Politico” might not be a messager that we care for, but does that make the message false?

Precisely..JC should make this his main argument against McCain, who has never fought for us when it counted.

Good point. He is taking it to Hayworth, but said that Hussein would be a good president. This guy keeps digging deeper and deeper.

Make that $38,282
To: Grunthor
That's exactly what I was going to post. It is second nature for McCain to go 'postal' on conservatives. But Islamic Marxists? My campaign will NOT use the word "Hussein" (um ... McQueeg, 0bama used it in his POTUS inaugural). No, in Johnny's world Marxists get a pass.

Those radio ads with that woman’s voice are SO annoying. If I didn’t know John McCain already, I wouldn’t vote for him on those ads alone.

Hayworth is more of a personal threat to McCain. Saddam couldn’t take McCain’s seat.
