Crist – Rubio – Palin - Bachmann

Posted on 03/28/2010 11:05:31 PM PDT by TLittlefella

For those who watched the debate between Crist and Rubio on Fox News Sunday With
Chris Wallace, you just witnessed the reason why career politicians need to be flushed
out of our government.

The Obama loving Crist freely admits he would sellout his fiscal conservative values for
a hunk of Obama’s spendthrift stimulus goldmine. If Crist wins the Senate race there is
little doubt he will participate in vote trading and selling. Crist gets the infamous RINO
award of the debate.

On the other hand Rubio speaks with fork tongue. He can’t be trusted. When confronted
with his using funds for personal and family gains he dodged the question. When
confronted about his refusal to make his tax returns public he dodged the question again.
Have we no people of Honorable Intentions to offer the cabbage patch in Florida.

And then we have Palin who ran around campaigning for the very person who muzzled
her during the presidential campaign. Then Sarah shows up at the Searchlight Showdown
like nothing ever happened. I love Sarah, but she needs to dye her hair blonde and step
aside for Michele Bachmann who will not fall prey to the good ole boy syndrome. Within
two years Bachmann will be the lady of choice for conservative Republicans.

Until we rid ourselves of these corrupt career politicians The Real State of Our Union
will persist.

“Also, if you research her record as governor, you will find that she is not a fiscal conservative. She is only conservative on social issues. Therefore, in my opinion, she is a RINO.”

Male Bovine Fecal Matter.

You complain her increased spending between the 2008 and 2009 budget, claiming that this proves she is not a fiscal conservative. Yes, spending did go up. Of course, state revenue almost doubled in her state at that time. When this happens, it is important to not only put money in the bank for a emergency (about $5 billion), but there is nothing wrong with increasing spending. The increased revenue needs to make it back into the hands of the people via services or a check. Governor Palin did both. The people of Alaska received an extra $1200 in addition to their Permanent fund checks, plus she increased spending on education and infrastructure projects. This is a good use of the extra revenue. The sign of a real fiscal conservative is how they handle difficult times, which we are indeed facing.

Did Governor Palin increase spending?

No way, Jose.

FY 2009 Operating Budget: $11,200,000,000 ($11.2B)
FY 2010 Operating Budget: $9,700,000,000 ($9.7B)

Net Cut in Operating Budget: $1,500,000,000

Total Percentage Cut in Operating Budget: 13.4%

FY 2009 Capital Budget: $2,632,000,000 (after Governor Palin vetoed $268 million)
FY 2010 Capital Budget: $1,800,000,000

Net Cut in the Capital Budget: $832,000,000

Total Percentage Cut in Capital Budget: 31.7%

Overall FY 2009 Budget: $13,832,000,000
Overall Proposed FY 2010 Budget: $11,500,000,000

Net Reduction in the Overall Budget: $2,332,000,000

Total Percentage Cut in Overall Budget: 16.8%

When it comes to budgets, this is a huge number. HUGE!

Keep in mind, this budget includes a large percentage of the stimulus funds in the operating and capital budgets. Some of the stimulus funds were inserted by the Governor (mostly in the capital budget) and the rest inserted by the state legislature (mostly in the operating budget).

Then again,to you, maybe any Republican who isn’t perfect is a RINO.

>Campaigning for McCain is playing the good ole boy game. I’ll have no part of it.

Maybe she doesn’t see it as a “good ol boy game”, but rather honoring her debt. After all, by making her his VP, he introduced her to the national scene, so she may feel indebted to him. Also, I think that in her book, she stated that Johnny himself treated her nice. It was his a-hole staffers who were the problem, though maybe he had no idea.

You may be correct in thinking she is honoring a debt,
but the truth is she owes no debt, to the contrary,
Palin made the race somewhat close by bringing some
sanity to the campaign. Without Palin McCain would have
been truly wiped out big time.

Thanks for your reply.

Maybe, but perhaps she thinks differently.
