Whose drum does Mike Castle march to?
- Posted by Cal Hollis on July 3, 2010 at 2:53pm
Who guides Congressman Michael Castle's thinking and votes?
If we only listen to what he says, he tells us -
Cap and Trade (Cap 'n Tax - Crap and Tax or whatever you want to call it)
Congressman Michael Castle's News Release on Cap and Trade.
http://www.castle.house.gov/News/DocumentPrint.aspx?DocumentID=134820
"We must live in the present but look to the future, and focus on strengthening the economy by driving advancements in industry and new business growth in Delaware. Such a market-driven solution, according to the Center for American Progress, is estimated to bring a net increase of about $460 million in investment revenue and 6,000 jobs to our state." (emphasis added)
As the inputs and reasoning for his vote on Cap and Trade, he credits the Center for American Progress. Ever heard of them? It is an ultra-liberal 'Think Tank' set up by John Podesta. Remember Van Jones? "Jones was a self-described "communist" during the 1990s and previously worked with a group dedicated to Marxist and Leninist philosophies." Fox News - Well CAP lists him as one of their 'experts' - Areas of expertise: Green Jobs, energy, environment.
If we aren't impressed by that, he adds to his reasons by adding:
"One estimate, done by M.J. Bradley & Associates, using the Energy Information Agency, and EPA analysis, reflects that the average monthly bill in Delaware would increase by $3.00."
What axe do they have to grind?
M.J. Bradley & Associates Our key competencies include: energy and environmental policy, advanced vehicle technologies, greenhouse gas management, energy technologies, emissions trading, environmental regulatory compliance and
data management systems.
Yep, they make their money by advocating technologies that can only be afforded with huge taxpayer subsidies. No wonder they support the bill...
When Congressman Castle senior staff member Kate Rohrer was questioned on why he looks to CAP for his justification, the immediate response was that "The Congressman would NEVER rely on them." When confronted with his own press release (linked above), the answer was "Well who do you think he should turn to?" I then referred to the Heritage Foundation report on Cap and Trade and their analysis of the impact on Delaware. To this, the response was - "You can't believe what they say - THEY ARE CONSERVATIVE"
So, I ask the question - Whose drummer does Mike Castle march to? NOT MINE !
If you see it the same way, SUPPORT CHRISTINE O'DONNELL FOR SENATE

People are starting to wake up...
Looks like the support is starting to really come in. Hope enough continue to support her - we sure need her in the Senate.
She is certainly on track ideologically.
Glad you got to hear her - she is outstanding!
Uhhh, polling in little ‘ole Delaware? It is very very sparse. Few pollsters even knew where it was till Foot in Mouth Biden became VP.
Seriously, we should hear some polling soon. The Silent Masses are stirring...

If all the ‘experts’ say Castle is our only chance then we should go with him. I don’t like it but they can disappear once elected and the senate leaders give them dead-end assignments. Just don’t re-nominate (or elect)them 6 years down the road. Look at Lindsey McCain. Retaking the senate will rest on races in Washington, Wisconsin and (if we’re lucky) Calif. and West Virginia. A RINO like Caputo would be great after 50 years of the KKK. Boxer? Do what you have to do to take her out.

A link for Contributions would be nice.

Thanks for the link. Looks like a legitimate RINO list, even if it's missing a few major RINOs like Lindsay Graham and Lieberman.
