This week, fellow Tea Party Patriots came together to endorse J. D. Hayworth for the Republican Partys nomination to the Senate. This endorsement follows a long line of prominent public groups and persons who have endorsed and campaigned for J. D. That list includes Sheriff Joe.

McCain is an annoying loser.
Oh the Tea Part movement is just an anti-American fringe group out to disrupt those in government who are REALLY getting things done! /MSARC
While I agree with the endorsement, I thought the Tea Party, because of the strength in its grass roots orientation, was by design not providing endorsements.
The Socialists are burning the Constitution and you want to stand by noncommittally? “I can’t take sides! That would be partisan!”
They are not endorsing based on party, but they do endorse based on their stance on liberty, taxes, and spending.
Not to worry Ma Palin will carry the day for the RINO...... Isn’t he some 20 points ahead in the latest polling?
McCain is a shameless opportunist. He flew back to DC to vote for the stimulus during the election and now with three months to the mid-term, he releases a list of wasteful stimulus spending to try to characterize himself as a debt hawk. Totally political move. Same with illegal immigration.
I think local tea parties can endorse but I agree no one body should be speaking for the “Tea Party” nationally. Of course, in actuality, there is no “tea party”. That implies a group. There exists a collection of individual Americans who are angry at Washington’s out of control spending and lack of accountability and fearful for their children’s future. Over 50 million such Americans. Probably more.

Read much?
The comment was CLEARLY posed as a question for clarification. MO Tea Parties, being in the national spotlight this past week, have adamantly posited that they are not going to endorse candidates per se. Thus, there is some variance apparently, among Tea Party leadership philosophy.
Personally, I find an “issues only” stance counterproductive and weakening, so no, obviously I do not “want to stand by noncommittally”.

Well that is not exactly what was said here, locally last week.
But with all the national media attention here in Missouri over Propostion C, at least one Tea Party leader has said they are not going to endorse any candidates.
I thought that was strange, because ultimately in our representative government, you are going to have to attach a name to a set of issues.
Good... I hope JD beats him.

Wake up Arizona. Juan McCain is America’s disgrace. Don’t plague us with him.
Would someone tell me why Fox news is giving Mclame so much air time.. it looks like they are his campaign managers (especially greta)
Not the election of JD over the RINO McCain but the replacement of an established Congress Critter with new blood.
Any established Congress Critter has been corrupted by the system where seniority means everything. For most Republicans and ALL RINOS this means the democratic way of doing things - since all republicans have, historically, had to su** up to democrats by adopting the democratic methodology if they wanted to get a bill passed.
As a result ALL established Republicans know no other way to running the House and/or Senate. If you have trained for decades to play European football (aka soccer) how can to expect to have a Super Bowl winning season when you have to play American Football? Don't expect established Republicans to change their strips when we elevate them to majority status (Why else did we invent the term RINO ?).
That being said, what on earth would the purpose of being a tea party if you are not going to do something about what is making you made.
What’s the point of the Tea Parties if they don’t endorse Constitutionalist/smaller gov’t candidates?
Good and none too soon.
Should McCain win, he is going to immediately go into full time “get even with the conservatives” mode.
I think they have been ........ bamboozled.
