Last night I watched Karl Rove drive the final nails into his political coffin, as he double-downed his attacks against Christine O’Donnell, on Greta Van Susteren’s show “On The Record.” It may be awhile before the “funeral” takes place, but the coffin is finished, no doubt.
The night before I had watched as Rove began his public self-immolation, on The Sean Hannity Show. Hannity, to his credit, defended O’Donnell against Rove’s surprising (to me, at least) and graceless attack, after her win against Power Elite insider, Mike Castle, in the Delaware Republican primary.
(Kudos to Sean Hannity for standing up to Rove, however, I hope he won’t mind a bit of friendly advice: lose the UN-blue power tie. It’s a bit of sartorial style that was first popularized by “the anointed one” himself, Obama—besides, well…it’s UN-blue).
Response to Rove’s rant by true conservatives was immediate, and almost unanimously, negative.
Rush Limbaugh said, ““Everyone I know that saw this was just—they were perplexed and said, ‘What’s going on?”
Michelle Malkin noted that, “Rove came across as an effete sore loser instead of the supposedly brilliant and grounded GOP strategist that he’s supposed to be.”
Last night when Van Susteren had Rove on her show, I fully expected to see some fancy damage-control back-pedaling. Nope.
Figuratively speaking, Rove took out hammer and nails, and went about sealing his political coffin, with a will. If you’ll permit me to mix metaphors, his aim was unerring, when it came to shooting himself in the foot. His performance was stunningly tone deaf, arrogant, and elitist.

There is something wrong here. I think that someone just broke Rove’s rice bowl.
Suddenly I don’t understand why the moonbat left hated this man so much. After all, it appears he wanted the same things they did.
Note none of Rove’s rant involves a single political issue, it is all personal attacks.
Meanwhile I believe Rove’s pet Mike Castle is trying to run as the democrat if not independent.
He apparently did his most famous client no favors in this regard.
Karl and others just now realizing someone moved the cheese on Closet Liberals, aka RINOs….
I even heard Mike Castle speak on the topic of his loss…what a frack’n whiner and bart simpson type…we need more candidates to turn out RINOs.

Christine vs Castle works for me. Castle won’t get many votes because he’s not on the ballot.
Christine vs Karl works for me because Liberals will go to http://christine2010.com and see nothing at all political, think that she’s a Liberal and contribute. He’s also not on the ballot.

Odd, because Rove used that phrase “self immolation” to describe a candidate from Nevada.
This has all be so very destructive of the Republican Party! Mr. Rove went off the deep end and destroyed many years of favorable opinion from voters that actually care.
He seems to think that he can somewhat backtrack and regain voters - hell, peoples respect, he is so delusional! He has not only ruined his reputation but will forever be looked at as just another establishment Republican Party pusher. I don’t give a hoot whether he thinks of himself as establishment, he is, was, and always be an establishment Republican policy wonk. That use to be at least a reasonable thing...no more!
He along with the Delaware Republican Party hacks have set back Republican ideas a decade at least. Thankfully, this may not resonate as badly as it normally would with the power of today’s Tea Party. To even think that he has a chance of regaining leadership for the Republicans is just a fairy tale... Go home Rove... You have outed yourself!
And as a similar note... Krauthammer, you are also on the list of suspect Republican supporters...
Rove already chickened out going on Hannity’s radio show today. He put this on his Twitter page:

I think he realized today that he has really stepped in some “doo-doo.”
I have a feeling all he will be talking about now is how Obama is the villain not him.
Castle appears to be another Charlie Crist
So the Magnificent Bastard is no more.
