Early voting begins Wednesday (Oct. 13)
Michelle Obama and I had a conference call Wednesday. Ok, Michelle, me and several thousands of other people. That didn’t make it any less special.
The First Lady, who polls show is one of the most popular figures now in the White House administration, has been given campaign duty ahead of the November general election. She’s busy stumping for candidates and motivating the political troops.
So, when I got an email this week from Organizing for America saying that Michelle Obama wanted to talk to me about voting, I was ready to take that call. I wanted to hear Michelle’s thoughts and actually hear the kind voice of America’s first mom.
The conference call took place at noon Eastern time, 28 days before the Nov. 2 election. First Lady Michelle Obama joined Organizing for America and various other Democratic groups and allies for the high-tech event, which actually patched thousands of people into the conference call and allowed others to participate via the Internet.
Michelle returned to a familiar message that Barack touted during his presidential campaign: change requires grassroots organization and hard-working organizers. This means non-paid volunteers who will knock on doors. This means fearless workers willing to make phone calls to neighbors, knock on doors, write letters to the editors and work the polls for Democratic candidates.
“Real community organizing can inspire others to get involved,” Michelle told us. “. . . When he (Barack) wakes up every morning, you are his compass. Your dreams are what he ran to fulfill.”
That’s good to know. It’s been a tough year for me as well.
The First Lady told us that she and Barack understand the frustrations of those who are jobless, and whose economic fortunes have not improved. “People are still hurting,” she said, responding to a question from a grassroots worker in St. Louis.
“We feel that frustration about the pace of change. Change takes time. When you are out of a job you don’t want to hear that. . . . We also have to remind people that the worst possible thing to do is not to vote. The worst thing to do is to stay home in November. We need to keep making progress on the economy and a host of other critical issues. The only way we can do that is if we have strong partners working with us.”
In Memphis and Shelby County, early voting begins Wednesday (Oct. 13) and continues through Oct. 28.

So when and where are their next dozen vacations?
I wonder how “popular” Moochele really is after her “let them eat cake” trip to Spain last summer.
That was my thought. That fiasco destroyed Michelle's popularity with those undecided voters who weren't too crazy about Obama, but liked Michelle and the girls. The Spain "let them eat cake" tour destroyed that, I suspect.
Even the unending attempts by the Left to portray her as some kind of ‘exotic queen’ have failed and failed and failed. That is because she is fat, stupid, and ugly and dresses worse than a 'trailer park queen'.
You can't go to America with a turd and try to convince them it is a bar of Gold. She is a lumbering, beastly, flatfooted, bowlegged, oger, who looks like a demon from some horror film.
Oh my goodness! I just spoke with Michelle Obama and I'm so flummoxed! If he hadn't been busy smoking dope and giving gay bjs to every Arab he ever met, he would be working in a car wash. (and I doubt he could even hold that job). Just my opinion...I will say it for you.
