Damn, folks in Arkansas have become more civilized than the rest of us.

See, that's what happens when I move to a new state. ;) It only took me a few years, too.

Maybe we don't have any females representing us at the national level, but my representative in the state legislature ran unopposed and just secured a second term. She is a strong pro-life, small gov't, pro 2A kind of gal. She lives in our neighborhood and is a nice looking brunette (us conservative brunettes seem to be the hot ticket right now).

Alas, now that I've straightened out Arkansas, I'll be moving on to Ohio around the end of the year. I hear they're already cleaning their political house for me, LOL.

Nice. Got closer than I thought in ARK.

In WV GOP gained in the House but lost 2 Senate seats.

Meanwhile, Vermont, arguably the most liberal state in the country, has NEVER sent a woman to Washington.

Why do you think Arkansas stayed Democratic while the rest of the south went GOP.

They didn’t, that same year Winthrop Rockefeller was elected governor, the first since reconstruction.

Congressman Mike Ross had a lot of trouble defeating an ex Miss Arkansas, Mary Beth Rankin, who made speeches at several TEA party rallies. I went to one in south AR. The entitlement bunch didn’t vote for her.

He still won by 58-40 over (Beth-Anne) Rankin. He’s a stain on Arkansas. He’ll have to share the ticket with Obama one more time, I hope we can capitalize on that. We need a tip top recruit.

He might be a stain but, he is in deep trouble if he can’t get more votes against a newcomer like Beth Anne. This should be his wake up call.

Nope. Ever since being in Monster Ping, Parsy’s been pretty quiet.

Well in such a good year any Republican with a pulse should have been able to pull 40% so I can’t be overly impressed with Ms. Rankin’s showing. ;/

Of course, we held that seat from 1993-2001 with Jay Dickey.
