Ah... another Republican to smear.

Why give TNR any recognition at FR?

Just came across this. The reference is too funny:

...no, I didn’t make that. I just came across it, but Gingrich as fat Elvis cracked me up.

I would love to see Newt mano-n-mano with Obama in a debate.

Newt would clean his clock and make Obama out to be the mental lightweight that he know him to be.

I remember thinking he would do the same against Al Gore, and damn if he didn’t end up agreeing with him.

Not really.....

Newtie is more of an enviro-wacko than Barry and he also teamed up with Hillary, pushing government health care.

Newtie is a disaster, in so many ways!

Newt is a weasel. He supported that leftist RINO in NY over a conservative, and now he’s Mr. Ethanol. Top that off with his sorded history with women, and I guarantee that I will never support him.

Go away, Newt. You cannot be trusted.

LOL. So have a lot of people. TNR is still a liberal rag with an agenda. Support it if you must.

I think the Newt bashing is undeserved.

We should be grateful.

Imagine where we would be if Newt had never existed and we would have been better off if he had never resigned.

His ugly personal life was Clintonesque and he supports amnesty and global warming kookery, but Newt has been a net benefit to this country, and he is one of the few Republicans who can bitch slap any liberal into the middle of next week when it comes to debating issues.

His personal life is horrendous. He should keep writing fiction ( he’s very good at it.)

Newtie strapped on kneepads, when Clinton was in the White House and hasn't ever taken them off.

He caved quite a lot to Bill and has paled around with Hill, pushing for Hillcare.

Then there was all the lovey-dovey sofa sitting with Pelosi.

Newtie was a great back-bencher, but once he became Speaker, he fumbled and folded.

You either have a rather selective memory, or your knowledge of his history is quite incomplete.

Posting the factual truth about Newt is something that should be done here and often !

Yeah, just like we support DU when we read the Dummy Funnies or the NYT when we post an article from them. What would you like? Fox News, WSJ, National Review, RedState and not much else?

Newt was VERY effective in getting the 1994 GOP house elected. I always enjoyed watching him on C-Span in the early 90’s. He articulated the conservative position extremely well. That said, I DON’T like how he seems to change his positions to agree with liberals. And NOW he’s back to the old Newt, which I respected. Clinton had Newt over a barrel, because of their mututal womanizing. Newt knew he couldn’t credibly criticize Bill, without having it backfire on himself. Are there any potential GOP POTUS candidates that don’t have baggage?

Yes,
Newt led the GOP takover of 94 then allowed them to spend like drunken sailors on shore leave for the 1st time in decades.
He has cozied up to the likes of Hillary and Nancy and I do not trust nor will I support Newt in any way,
Throw in his sordid personal life and Newt can go fish.
